I base my opinion on facts, what was done.
    Heres real:
He could have fought someone with respect, no need for a name because they probably wont give him a chance, but a fighter with a better record or even unbeaten up and comer.
He could have fought in a place where he would have gained more recognition, which is anywhere in America,Mexico, or Puerto Rico.
As for his weight issues and SAFETY. Safety or not it was all on him, were talking about watching what you eat as a professional , not so hard.
This is your job. Do your job like everyone else in the world that works for a living.
And if he would've fought and beat an unbeaten up and comer, you'd still **** on him and say the guy was a hypejob or a nobody with an inflated record.

Again creating a fact based on what you think would have happened. My opinion is based on what I saw(period).

Just out of morbid curiosity, what does Guzman have to do to earn your respect?

a totally unknown fighter from nowhere lasted twelve rounds with the ballerina. when was the last time i saw the ballerina knocked out his opponent?

maybe its about time the japanese chef slayer edwin valero tested the dancing prowess of the ballerina joan guzman.

Well, for one beat a top ten lightweight..but my opinions aren't posted in here because of that..its mainly because these guys in here put this no name, unproven, undisciplined, fighter on a pedestal so I ask why? And give my reasons why I feel he doesn't deserves respect. I mean this guy has yet to do anything and these guys are putting him up in minds eye against the likes of Pac, Floyd, and any or every fighter that HAS proven something. Face it this guy has gotten his biggest fame not from a fighter he beat, not for his courage, not for his competition, but off a very negative subject(not making weight and hurting another proud and good fighter, not with a punch but financially)

Beating Soto/ Barrios deserves respect. Not fightin a top 10 LW after such a long lay off is understandable...your point?

You couldnt get my point if you were blind and had Braille on Phonics. The guy has almost thirty fights ..he should have already fought a top ten especially if he wants recognition. Listen I get he is from where your people are from....hi five thats great but he is still far from proven. As for his s ...check boxrec he fights on average once or twice a yr...if that doesn't tell you something well...he is ... from where your from ...hi five..lolhttp://www.boxingscene.com/forums/images/faces/bsflag.gif
