i disagree with this. the pac-dlh fight has more to do with pac rather than with dlh. floyd was waiting for dlh to make mistakes. pac pushed the fight and threw him off rhythm

Yup. I've always wondered if Floyd would follow in the path of Sugar Ray Leonard. The number of times he says he is retired only to come back and continue fighting. But what happened to Leonard's career because of inactivity? Inconsistency. Another fighter that just doesn't learn from history. Oh well; the Money is good. Wonder what happens if/when he gets his first loss.

          Depends on who.

And I think the same is possible with Floyd if he were to beat Pac...little credit, if at all by some fans.

Personally, I would like to see him in with Margarito: Bigger for the legacy and a tougher match. Going against Pac is a good match based on size and where the both of them are at in their career...but Margarito, that's something.

Everybody has their opinions but you should take that up with Freddie. He too mentioned the weight and where Oscar was at in his career. Like Freddie said; what happened to other fighters at Oscar's stage of their careers when they moved down?

If you are weight-drained, you have no energy to fight and think.

Pac did look very good as always. The best thing to take from that fight is that Pac has carried the weight in two straight fights...147+ by fight-time. That's good to know when he fights the other 140 division fighters.

mayweather was in decline in his last 5 matches, margarito is just too much for him right now, pbf knows this too

It's not to smart based on history to go right after someone like Pac given your {Floyd's} current status...but, Floyd will do what he wants.

Ray Leonard came back after a two year layoff and was knocked on his ass. He won, but he retired soon after. Of course, he would then come back again years later to fight Marvin Hagler, but he fought Marvin knowing Marvin was on the decline.

If Floyd loses because he can't fight like he used to and didn't take a tune-up to see where he was at...that's on him.

5 Fights you say...probably. I would give him the Mitchell fight as his last great overall ability performance, but I could agree with you that Gatti may have been his last "peak" fight.

knowing that is what will impress me when he fights Margarito. I really want to see him grind it out.

The difficulty going into the Margarito fight would be one; His Hands...which even Oscar tried to take advantage of by making sure he wore "Reyes" gloves and not "Winning." One shot to Margarito's head could break his fragile little hands. Two: the way he has been fighting and I've talked about this a number of times so no real need to continue.

Against Margarito he stands maybe a 5% chance of stopping him by KO (exluding cuts which is a TKO). So, I want to see what he does and if he can bring back the younger version of himself.

With Pac: it will be a tough fight, no question, however: there is a better chance he can stop Pac or just counter him all night if he finds Pac's weakness. But in order to do that, he will still have to fight from round 1.

Margarito is the tougher match and he did say he was the "best" at 147 so I want him to prove it. Of course the money wouldn't be much compared....but whatever happened to "It's not about the money" or was that Floyd just on Sunday?

i wouldn't really wanna see floyd fight pac if he's not in best form, just gives the nuthuggers or him excuses after. pacquiao is peaking right now and mayweather seems to be in decline, least he could do is a tune up
