Only in the Philippines and those pinoys who know nothing about boxing hyped up Banal.
He never headlined on HBO or fought on a PPV card, labeled as one of the top 5 best prospect of the world by HBO like they did with Rey Bautista.
Rey was overhyped.
I always thought Banal is nothing especial.
very funny avatar btw.Comment

The whole ALA stock was overhyped basically. Rode Pacman's popularity immediately after Pacman beat-up Barrera. Can't blame them though, Cebuano's still want to relive the Flash Elorde days when they can brag that the best boxer the Philippines has ever produced was a son of Cebu. Ironically, the only fighter they have right now that actually won a belt isn't even Cebuano.Only in the Philippines and those pinoys who know nothing about boxing hyped up Banal.

And when the hell is Ghana gonna find the next Azumah Nelson. They've given us Ike Quartey and Joshua Clottey. Simply pathetic I say!Man, I was thinking it's too bad no Thai fighterss became the next Khaosai Galaxy
49-1 43 ko's, never ever lost a title defense and knocked a ton of dudes out.
Lots of fighters from different countries cant live up to the best, but Thailand had so many good fighters yet none to top Khaosai.
