just the bold part. so he held WBO super middleweight championship from 10-11-1997 to 09-26-2008 whic equal almost 11. so i guess holding one of the 4 title for 11 years would make you ATGLets start by saying that I'm a Trinidad fan. However I feel that Calzaghe's achievements are greater than Trinidad's. Lets look at the facts - JC reigned as SMW Champ for over 10 years an achievement matched by only a handful of fighters. Ok so the division was a little depleted during the time of his reign but its still a wonderful record, remember it only takes one good punch or a bad decision against you and the 0 is gone, along with the titles.
Notable victories include - Eubank, Hopkins, Kessler & Lacy. The win over Lacy ranks higher than the win over Jones JR in my opinion as Lacy was undefeated and came with a massive rep. Calzaghe ruined him and subsequently Lacy is not the same fighter anymore. Also he beat Kessler and unified the division. Hopefully Kessler will show the world how big a victory that was for Joe in 2009. B Hop was in many peoples P4P top five even at 42. Yes it was a close fight but only one man came to box and that was Joe. Bhop held and went in with the head at every opportunity yet the judges scored the fight in Joe's favour. He found a way to win despite Hopkins negative tactics. Also nobody hit / slapped BHop as many times as Joe in a fight.
tito trinidad held IBF welterweight championship from 06-19-1993 to 03-03-2000 which equal almost 7 years. tito vacates his title to get another one in light middleweight.Comment

Screw resumes, any can be picked apart. Fact is out of this generation only PBF, Calzaghe, RJJ, PacMan, Lennox and Hopkins can you say would fare well against any of the greats of the past. You cannot say that about DLH, Tito who lost their biggest fights and you know would fall short against the greatest. and you can't say that of any of the other guys who lost to average fighters in their prime like MAB, Tszyu. Toney and Morales come closest. but Toney lost to average fighters, got embarrassed by Jones and was losing handily to Nunn before the knockout so he can be outboxed. Morales beat a prime Pac and MAB, but both got the better of him in their trilogies and he lost to an average fighter in Raheem..Calzaghe beat everyone put infront him and if he wouldn't beat a prime RJJ or Hopkins he wouldn't get embarrassed that's for sureI would rate Trinidad, De La Hoya, MAB, and Morales all ahead of Calzaghe. And they didn't fall short, it's called taking chances. Look at who the guys you just listed fought in their career and then look at who Joe fought, it's not even close. All those guys fought the best of the best and took risks along the way.
Trinidad beat - old Camacho, shot Whitaker, arguably lost to DLH, Vargas, the great Oba Carr..destroyed by Hopkins, Winky and RJJ you musta forgot
DLH beat - old Chavez, arguably lost to Whitaker & Quartey, the great Ruelas..lost to Mosley, Mayweather, Hopkins and Pacquiao
MAB beat - Morales, Hamed, Kelly, Ayala..lost to the great Junior jones TWICE, KTFO by PAc, Lost to Marquez
Morales beat - only one to beat prime Pacman, Barrera, Jones, Ayala..lost to the great Raheem, MAB, KTFO by Pac, lost to average champ diaz
Calzaghe beat - Hopkins (43) who schooled Pavlik one fight later, shot Roy Jones, unbeaten Kessler who would beat most from 160-175 today, and a rusty Eubank, don't forget Lacy who was supposed to knock him out Joe ruined himComment
