Seems to me HBO doesn't want to do the work and introduce Froch to the casual. So, in their laziness, they sacrifice a great match for more popular names.

Greenberg is an idiot. If he doesn't want to put on this match, I'm sure Showtime will. Or Setana.

call me crazy, but Im not impressed with Froch. I dont think Froch vs. Taylor would be a war, I think Froch vs. Taylor would be another Taylor vs. Lacy.

but Taylor vs. Kessler or Calzaghe? ah, now that is completely different.

a Winky Wright fight is dumb, simply because Winky has been gone forever.

Taylor's got an exclusive contract with HBO and I believe they get final approval of his opponents.

So in all probability he can't just tell HBO to go screw themselves and resort to fighting on Showtime, as he'd likely be in breach of contract.

I am fairly sure that Taylor has always said he planned on fighting Froch after he beat Lacy and if Froch got past Pascal. I haven't read anything different.

I agree though, if he doesn't fight Froch because of HBO then doesn't take a Kessler fight, it will look bad for Taylor.
Lou Di Bella saying "Who the Froch is Froch?" whilst also admitting they were turning down Froch to take an easier fight with Lacy.

                That really shouldn't be happening.

Do you have a link demonstrating that Taylor does not want to fight Froch? I always though it was his intention to fight Froch after the Lacy fight. Taking a fight against a more predictable opponent is reasonable I think after coming off consecutive losses.

                  Taylor doesn't duck ppl.

Apart from being the champion, right?

And Taylor is elite at SMW because he beat Jeff Lacy who's career died 2 years ago.

No, it shouldn't, but it's probably not uncommon. Especially when you are your promoter's prized first client and he used to be employed by HBO.

Check that - not only did Dibella "used to" be employed by HBO, I guess technically he still is considering he signed a contract allowing them to ass **** him and his client at will.
