Either way, its not Froch's fault. But just watch how it plays out if these two never end up fighting. Froch will be the one accused of avoiding, I can almost gurantee it.
Ok nostradomus lets pedict the future but first you should look at the past. Froch has a belt and if Taylor can get by Kessler Carl would be the next logical opponent. Kessler is a much harder fight than Carl and they both have belts. No one avoided eachother, they are both seeking a tough path and may meet eachother down the road.

Get that chip off your shoulder son. Not many people here, regardless of nationality, will come to Jermain's defense were he to avoid Froch for another Jeff Lacy caliber opponent.

I just wish the people at HBO actually watched boxing. A ****ing goat could watch a couple fights and realize that Froch/Taylor is a better fight than Winky/Anybody.

Like I said, if Taylor has any self respect, he'll choose Kessler or fight Froch on Showtime or whatever. If he does either of those, I have no issue.

You got any links to back up what you are saying?

I am fairly sure that Taylor has always said he planned on fighting Froch after he beat Lacy and if Froch got past Pascal. I haven't read anything different.

I agree though, if he doesn't fight Froch because of HBO then doesn't take a Kessler fight, it will look bad for Taylor.

Has little to do with "not wanting" the Froch fight and much more to do with "wanting" the Lacy fight to transition him into a new weight class.

Hard for even a critic to argue with that choice.

Im saying that in 5 years time, if Froch can continue to be shunned by the likes of Taylor and HBO, then who will get the blame?

HBO has given Taylor a very short list: Fight Winky Wright or Mikkel Kessler if you wanna fight on HBO.

Of course Taylor can still fight Froch on Showtime.
I find this ridiculous. Froch vs. Taylor is one I'd watch.

Taylor vs. Wright? I wouldn't be very interested.

Jermain Taylor's promoter Lou DiBella told **********.com, ":HBO hasn't rejected Froch yet, but obviously economics have a lot to do with what you can and can't do. It's going to be the license fee that determines what we can do, and what we'll do. We're talking about different possibilities with HBO, to see what fights can be made." When asked if the potential Wright rematch could be HBO's remedty to solidifying dates for both former champions, DiBella stated, "They certainly would prefer us to fight a Kessler or a Winky Wright. I spoke with Jim Wilkes, there is some kind of obligation that exists to Winky Wright. To be honest, that's not going to determine what Jermain does next. We're willing to consider a Winky Wright fight, Jermain is willing to consider any big fight that the television networks want, and are willing to pay top dollar for. If HBO really wants a Winky Wright fight, enough to make it economically make sense, then it's something we'll pursue. Right now, there are other fights that we're looking at, and we're discussing license fees."
