I also read that Bute's promoter/manager wants to put him up against Larsen, the Danish boxer.

I'm not sure how much of a quality opponent people see Bute as anyway. After the ending to his last fight, I don't think he's rated as highly as he was, and he wasn't rated that highly to begin with.

Kessler-Taylor is a great fight, so hopefully that will get made. Froch-Taylor and Williams-Winky would also be very good matchups though.
To me it says that Froch is not a highly rated fighter in the US. It also says that Jermain Taylor himself is not big enough to warrant HBO's attention without an opponent with at least some kind of recognition.

Yeah its pretty foolish of the, it seems. Taylor has been involved in a ton of big fights on HBO, Froch is a solid undefeated fighter and it would look really good if Jermaine bet him on HBO. And hell if Froch wins they have a new player, just doesnt make sense.

No they want the best fights, because Cotto and Pavlik aren't getting aired either. It's mainly Froch

            oh man...Kessler vs. Taylor
please, Kessler and Taylor, sign this fight...what a matchup...

I dont think Kessler can even fight Mads Lardson because Bute is gonna fight him. so no easy opponents today, my friend.

oh and I have nothing against Froch, but Kessler vs. Taylor>Froch vs. Taylor, easily. Froch is just some dumb alphabet champ...Kessler is the real champ of the division. forget the alphabet belts.

Froch was in an exiting fight against Pascal last time out. No reason to believe he wont continue to exite. I dont understand HBO's logic in this case TBH. I dont know what I am missing here.

Did HBO not watch Froch vs Pascal? A Froch/Taylor fight would be exciting, may be because Froch isn't a big name HBO aren't interested. A Kessler fight with Taylor would be epic though so I wont be to disheartened with that.

Froch is just another worthless alphabet belt champ. Kessler is the real champ. Kessler is a way better opponent than Froch, and we would all prefer to see that fight than Taylor vs. Froch.

Kessler vs. Taylor is the best fight possible at 168!

I hope it will be Kessler, not Wright, fighting Taylor..

Yeah but this isnt just about the "real" champ. Froch is a solid, undefeated fighter and one of the better fighters in the division. Jermaine Taylor is one of the better fighters in the division. The two fighting eachother clears things up a bit and brings us closer to crowning an actual champion.
Keep in mind, Kessler may or may not be the best in the division, but he isnt actually "the" champ yet.
