I really think Prime Roy Jones has a chance to beat Tyson.

You are crazy. If Jones thought he could have beaten Tyson, he would have tried. If you were to ask Jones if he could beat a prime Tyson, even Roy would laugh at you.

Do you realize how hard Mike hit? Jones would probably be in danger of being killed. I'd give Roy approximately 2 minutes in the ring with Tyson, then he would be put in hospital.

I say the same about prime Ali. I mean its hard to say that Roy could beat Iron Mike, but styles make fights, and If "prime Roy" didn't want Tyson to hit him, Tyson would not be able to. And Roy would be able to touch him all day. Maybe not hurt him, but hed land punches. Tyson is 5-9 and roy is 5-11. Roy also has reach on mike. I know it doesn't seem possible but remeber how fast roy was. when he was young he didn't get tired and he could run from Mike all day. Regardless Roy Jones, Barry Sanders, and now Lebron James are the three most amazing athletes I have ever seen. 1.Barry 2.Roy 3.Lebron No boxer has more god gifted ability than Roy Jones.
This shows how much you know about Tyson. Mike is just under 6 foot. Mike also faced heavyweights with HUGE reach advantages. HUGE.

Berbick had a 7 inch reach advantage here. It didn't make any difference. He could have had a 3 foot reach advantage and still been knocked senseless. LOOK AT THE FINISHING SHOT. Imagine that **** landing on Jones.

I would never wish such a beating on Roy Jones.

Tyson could be hella fast too, even as a youngster. Seeing old videos of him in training blew me away. The foot speed was incredible.

Tyson in the late 80's early 90's against Jones? Tyson would eat him up.

Jones is older, i think. They fought during the same generation, so Jones was well in his 20's and Tyson was in his early 20's. There's no way that Jones would stand a chance against a beast like that.

The only shot Jones has is the stay away long enough to control the pace of the fight. Unlikley though. If Jones can get KO'd by Antonio Tarver.....twice, then i don't think he can stand up to Tyson.

No chance in hell would Roy win a round against Ali and would get stopped in under 5rds.

Roy never had work-rate at all and Ali 1967 would destroy him.

                Man you is crazy.

I dont think so... is it possible? sure, of course its possible... you could make the argument, tyson fought 25 bums in a row, and roy would be far from one of the cans tyson knocked out... but in my opinion Tyson 21 and under was killing anybody, tomato can or not... I fully believe for the Douglas fight Tyson didnt even train for the fight.. Atlas said he literally didnt hit the gym ONCE for the douglas fight, and also his trainer had died, and he had no direction...

Even though he hadnt lost up til that point... it was a different tyson in there with douglas... the bobbing and weaving headmovement was gone as well...

I think Roy himself would have trouble finding tyson with the head bobbing.

Then again fighting a tomato can heavyweight, whose slow as hell would be completely different then fighting roy... and also tyson knocked everyone out within 3 rounds... I hear what your saying... if he could stay away for 5 rounds... yes i believe its possible... but if roy got caught even one time it would be over...

I wouldnt favor Roy no way no how

When Tyson was with Rooney, Kevin had Tyson train with smaller Men to get Mike's reflexes to stay quick. Of course Mike pulled his punches, but the point was to get him to spar those quick guys so the big guys would look like they have Parkinsons.

Tyson was the equivalent of an NFL Running Back. That's why he was compared to Dempsey more than Frazier.

Tyson would have ruined Jones Jr. quickly. Hell, this fight would have never happened Prime vs. Prime because Roy wouldn't even get in there with a shot Tyson unless you paid him 100 million dollars

. For the thread-starter on Vitali, Wlad vs. Tyson.

I could see Vitali winning a decision, possibly knockin him out since all fighters I feel can be knocked out. I could see Tyson winning as well. I could also see Tyson winning by TKO because of Vitali's soft skin; TKO on cuts. I wouldn't favor Tyson knocking him out in the proper way. It has to be a peak Tyson (with Rooney) or there is a much better chance Tyson loses...even the Ruddock version who got himself together somewhat after the Douglas loss, wouldn't be someone I would favor.

Wlad: I could see Tyson winning and even knocking Wlad out. I'm not sold on him wearing Tyson out either because Tyson back then had good stamina to go 12 even though punches can take a lot out of you. I just keep thinking Wlad will fold mentally way before Tyson. However, dealing with Wlad's arsenal is a problem and Tyson would have to be on his "A" game to make Wlad miss, with his usual bob-and-weave, step to the side counter strkes from hell. He would also have to have that jab popping like he did to a lot of tall fighters; timing is everything. Tyson has one big advantage that only Brewster really did to Wlad: Body Shots. Wlad doesn't have that great of a tank and I still say that was the big factor in their first fight and not the arsenic drink his nuthuggers are sold on.

Vitali is better of the two brothers to be favored. Both fighters, as well as many other tall fighters including Lennox have to dictate fights to keep the tank spread even.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Vitali beat a peak Tyson, but I wouldn't be surprised if Tyson wins. There is one very good point Bruno made about Tyson. He said something like, when Tyson fights, he makes himself small, so for a tall/big guy, they have to drop down and punch, and when you do that, you leave yourself wide open for Mike to explode. I guess it's like a someone trying to reach down and pick up a small child, but the child pulls out his gun and unloads.
