That card will not do very well in sales and no boxing can not even put two stars on one card. The demand is way to high and the greed is even higher. ****** post, ****** poster, and UFC should be taken to the MMA section. Boxing fans don't care, its really just an annoyance at this point. Go watch your MMA and we will watch boxing.
Can boxing compete with UFC 92?

The only reason they can put on a card like that is because they pay the fighters peanuts lolI think not is the right answer. In short they will have 3 MAIN EVENT type of fights on a single card, two of them championship fights!!! It's like putting Hopkins vs Pavlik with Floyd Mayaweather vs Ricky Hatton AND Pacquiao vs Marquez, all in the same card!!! Jesus it's insane. Only Affliction put on a bigger show in the after Pride era and that was a once in a lifetime kind of event. Boxing better watch out! We can't compete with these cards!
But it should be a great event lolComment

Of course they can, close this thread. I'm sick and tired of UFC threads in this section.I think not is the right answer. Oscar & Manny may have done big PPV numbers, but UFC does PPVs EVERY month and pull that number about after 3-4 PPVs (depending on the card) without the huge promotion, 24/7, etc...also not including the FREE fights on S.pike and Versus (WEC).
Dana White can put together a great line up like that because all those guys are contracted to him. Think of Bob Arum throwing PPVs and having Cotto, Pavlik, and Manny Pacquiao on the same card. The politics and money in Boxing is what's ****ing it up. Zuffa & Dana White oversee everything in the UFC and don't let other promoters, agents, managers, etc get in the way of fights being made or how the pie should be divided.
I know the sport of Boxing itself isn't going anywhere, but they need to really step it up with not only their PPV cards, but just a broader range of televised fights which UFC is killing all of Boxing in, real talk.
i agree 100%...now as far as UFC 92 goes.. if UFC 91 had the "biggest fight in mma history" and dana was still 400,000 buys off, i dont see ANY evidence of how ufc 92 is gonna hit a million..c'mon u guys they ALWAYS have strong cards..and yet they still hover around 600,000 buys and sometimes go more than that..griffin/evans, nog/mir, jackson/silva IMO WILL NOT eclipse 750,000 buys..lets say it does..its ONLY cause they just had brock/couture..UFC90 headlined by Anderson Silva [mma's PFP #1] did 300,000 PEOPLE!!! Hell Pac vs diaz did 400,000!! again..even coming off of brock/couture i'll be surprised if it does over 750,000.Comment
