Can boxing compete with UFC 92?

I think not is the right answer. In short they will have 3 MAIN EVENT type of fights on a single card, two of them championship fights!!! It's like putting Hopkins vs Pavlik with Floyd Mayaweather vs Ricky Hatton AND Pacquiao vs Marquez, all in the same card!!! Jesus it's insane. Only Affliction put on a bigger show in the after Pride era and that was a once in a lifetime kind of event. Boxing better watch out! We can't compete with these cards!

I don't follow MMA and I don't recognize those names.

People don't follow boxing, and they still recognize floyd mayweather, de la hoya, and pacquiao (now).

                92 is a huge card.

Boxing needs to cut down on its PPVs i mean Pavlik on PPV, PALEASE!!! and just have 3-4 huge cards a year.

I mean dont you already pay a subscription for HBO?

Oscar & Manny may have done big PPV numbers, but UFC does PPVs EVERY month and pull that number about after 3-4 PPVs (depending on the card) without the huge promotion, 24/7, etc...also not including the FREE fights on S.pike and Versus (WEC).

Dana White can put together a great line up like that because all those guys are contracted to him. Think of Bob Arum throwing PPVs and having Cotto, Pavlik, and Manny Pacquiao on the same card. The politics and money in Boxing is what's ****ing it up. Zuffa & Dana White oversee everything in the UFC and don't let other promoters, agents, managers, etc get in the way of fights being made or how the pie should be divided.

I know the sport of Boxing itself isn't going anywhere, but they need to really step it up with not only their PPV cards, but just a broader range of televised fights which UFC is killing all of Boxing in, real talk.
