Pavlick is a bigger fight than Joe!! He must be trippin.
Joes right, Froch had nothing to deserve a fight with him. If he takes out pavlick then kessler he would just about have the right to call him out, untill then zip it. For the record kessler would make him his *****.
I don't know if you would agree, but since there aren't a lot of contenders for Joe to fight that means something (Dawson hasn't accomplished enough yet), I would like him to wait and see who's the next unified Super Middleweight champion, then go right down, fight him and claim back the titles in the division where he has accomplished so much. It would seal his legacy in a stylish way. There are alreay talks of unification. Froch wants Bute.
i am a calzaghe and froch fan, but calzaghe is the one that's annoying the hell out of me. froch has always wanted the wbc title as its the most prestigious so course he chases the champion when he is high up on their rankings, so too were inkin and taylor whom he was willing to fight, but none of them were. fair play to froch, could have done it a lot earlier going down the frank warren route and getting a shot at the wbo.
calzaghe to me is getting too ****y, not in a boxers way, which i like in a boxer but a slimy way , the antics with hopkins and jones, he would not had the chance to showboat like that when they were in their prime, now mouthing off about boxing, points that i agree with, but he has known these problems for years but chose to say when he milked his share first.
would have calzaghe reacted the same as froch, by calling him out if he was being denyed a shot at eubank when he was wbo champion, course he would. froch got what he wanted and you got what you wanted, joe stop bitching and retire with class, i.e lewis style

dawson would be a bigger win for him than anyone else he fights, and that includes a hopkins rematch.....hell, i thought beating dawson would've done more for calzaghe than beating roy jones..........
i talk a lotta **** about joe, but if he were to fight and beat dawson, i'd never say another bad word about him.......but retire or keep fighting, its all good for joe
Maybe Froch knows that Calzaghe will never fight him so he is just raising his profile some more at his expense? Let's face it, even though he was involved in a fantastic fight on Saturday, the likes of Amir Khan are still much more well known even in the UK.
With Froch calling Calzaghe out all week he has made the papers and has been discussed on the news channels, it raises his profile.
First: Calzaghe didn't "struggle" against Omar Sheika, he put him away in 5 rounds. WTF is Carl on about?
Second: The suggestion that Joe is jealous of Carl's WBC belt is ludicrous!
Third: Pavlik is a bigger fight than Joe? Ummm... OK then. Let's see how many tickets you can sell.
Fourth: Now Joe has to get in line to fight Froch because he might not give Joe a chance? This is getting better by the minute.
Fifth: Nothing changes the fact that Froch has about as much chance against Joe as Lacy did.
Sixth: He plays down Lacy, but I reckon before Joe beat the **** out of him he predicted Lacy to KO Calzaghe.
As I said, I've been nice to Carl since he turned pro in 2002, I have stood up for him against the haters, but my mind is beginning to change. He has obvious flaws, ****ty defense, but it makes for exciting fights. The fact is, Taylor and Pavlik are only interested now because they have seen those flaws and they obviously think they can easily expose them and grab the WBC belt without being given a hard fight. That's why they are interested, no other reason.
Joe Calzaghe is funny because he's so much in love with himself. Ok lets point out some facts here. Joe has a great record, there's no taking that away from him. Most of his fights have been against chumps, young pups that just aren't matured or old men that should retire. The only guy that I can really give him credit for beating is Kessler. Kessler is one dimensional but he's closer to his peak than anyone else he's fought. Lacey was overrated then and most people that didn't get caught up by his physical appearance knew it. Roy Jones Jr. should retire because EVERYONE knows that had Roy been younger he'd have tore Joe apart. Hopkins is older too and well past his prime. He beat an old Eubank years ago. It's not his fault but he's come around in an era where there's no real contenders at that division so to say he's something special will never really be proven. I give him credit for realizing he's just about done with boxing though. He is up there in age but unlike Jones Jr. and Hopkins (the 2 older guys he's beaten with real name power) his road wasn't as hard or as established as them. A win is a win but in his heart he knows he beat guys that were great fighters past their prime and battle worn.

You have to consider that nobody knows who Dawson is, save for a few people on a forum. Calzaghe wants NAMES at this stage in his career, not nobodies. He also wants big money. Dawson brings neither.
It's been said before, but what if Joe did fight Dawson and make it look easy? Then what? Everyone would react the same way they did after the Lacy fight. Dawson would instantly become "a bum" or "over-rated", and Joe would get no credit at all.
