UK rivals Joe Calzaghe and Carl Froch continue to trade insults in the press. Froch recently picked up Calzaghe's old WBC super middleweight title after Joe vacated the belt earlier in the year to move up to light heavyweight. Calzaghe had to make a defense against Froch at the time, but looked for bigger game in fights with Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr. Froch has chased Calzaghe for at least two years. [details]

Your right, Calzaghe shouldn't bother. It's not like Froch has really laid into him again or anything, though he has racked on about him in some video's.

Calzaghe would dominate Froch. Having just watched Froch's performance, it was entertaining but tbh I'm now putting Taylor and Kessler over him, let alone Calzaghe.

One interesting thing to put to Carl, as if Pavlik is a bigger fight. Another one dimensional slugger, whose a MW and just got exposed by someone Calzaghe beat.

I've been nice to Froch over the last few years, but he is actually starting to annoy me.

Calzaghe would eat the guy alive, it's obvious to anyone with an ounce of boxing knowledge.

The motivation for fighting Manfredo was the money he made from it, and exposure to the US. Manfredo was getting known at the time, of course, through the Contender series. Joe has stated very plainly and openly that he didn't want that fight, he only did it for the reasons I stated above.
