Most of his fights have been against chumps, young pups that just aren't matured or old men that should retire. The only guy that I can really give him credit for beating is Kessler. Kessler is one dimensional but he's closer to his peak than anyone else he's fought. Lacey was overrated then and most people that didn't get caught up by his physical appearance knew it. Roy Jones Jr. should retire because EVERYONE knows that had Roy been younger he'd have tore Joe apart. Hopkins is older too and well past his prime. He beat an old Eubank years ago. It's not his fault but he's come around in an era where there's no real contenders at that division so to say he's something special will never really be proven. I give him credit for realizing he's just about done with boxing though. He is up there in age but unlike Jones Jr. and Hopkins (the 2 older guys he's beaten with real name power) his road wasn't as hard or as established as them. A win is a win but in his heart he knows he beat guys that were great fighters past their prime and battle worn.
Those are not FACTS. They are your opinion.

Post something new. You posted the exact same thing about 3,000 other threads say and it's getting really ****ing tiring to read.

Bottom line: you're not changing anyone's opinion of Calzaghe just because you posted your own.

    PS: Eubank was only 31.

Pascal ain't world class, but Jeff Lacy was?

Carl Froch made some fair points IMO. Joe should remember how hard it was for him to make the big fights happen back in the day when he was calling out the best and no one wanted to give him a ''Pay day'' and a fight. Calzaghe is now top of the tree and dishing out the same treatment, which is nice of him.

Calzaghe would make ALOT of money from this fight, so why not take the easy payday?

BTW i think Calzaghe would beat Froch, but he doing to Froch what was happening to him 8 years ago, which is ****ish IMO.

For what it's worth, I agree with you on this point.

First: Calzaghe didn't "struggle" against Omar Sheika, he put him away in 5 rounds. WTF is Carl on about?

Second: The suggestion that Joe is jealous of Carl's WBC belt is ludicrous!

Third: Pavlik is a bigger fight than Joe? Ummm... OK then. Let's see how many tickets you can sell.

Fourth: Now Joe has to get in line to fight Froch because he might not give Joe a chance? This is getting better by the minute.

Fifth: Nothing changes the fact that Froch has about as much chance against Joe as Lacy did.

Sixth: He plays down Lacy, but I reckon before Joe beat the **** out of him he predicted Lacy to KO Calzaghe.

As I said, I've been nice to Carl since he turned pro in 2002, I have stood up for him against the haters, but my mind is beginning to change. He has obvious flaws, ****ty defense, but it makes for exciting fights. The fact is, Taylor and Pavlik are only interested now because they have seen those flaws and they obviously think they can easily expose them and grab the WBC belt without being given a hard fight. That's why they are interested, no other reason.
Yup, difficult to disagree with. I've always been kind to Froch, well constructive at least, even in this thread. But watching the actual video interviews of these rather than just the words, there's more to it.

On your first bullet point my man, I think you've mis interpreted. I'm pretty sure he said Lacy struggled with Sheika when Calzaghe done him in 4. So fair enough there, he was stating fact. He wasn't on about Joe struggling as it mighta come across as.

Anyway, Carl is getting a little out of context here. Calzaghe is p4p #3 in the world, reigned as SMW for 11 years, 11 years and left SMW to become #1 at LHW. He faced numerous top ten guys like Froch and they all got beat. Froch wins Calzaghes old vacant belt against a non big name, struggles, and thinks Calzaghe might have to get in line.

That right there is plain lunacy, completely and utterly deluded and laughable.

Pavlik is not a bigger fight than Joe, infact it's not even that big of a fight. One doesn't have a big name or world awareness in Carl, has just won a vacant title. The other has been exposed as significantly over rated and too one dimensional, and is now hoping to recover his career and will be more open to smaller names like Froch. Carl is deluded not to realise that, and to think Kelly's a bigger fight.

Calzaghe is quite right in most of what he says when you stop and think for a moment. If Carl faces Kessler or Taylor for that matter, he's highly likely to come away with a loss. So then WTF is Carl on about deserving a shot at Calzaghe, lunacy. Calzaghe whipped Kessler, and most believe would comfortably beat Taylor. The opposite is so opinion wise, for you Carl. Kessler would probably beat you, and Taylor. Sorry mate, I congratulate your win of a vacant title but you likely have a loss round the corner in your very first defence, or the one after. You'll look a little silly then, unfortunately.

I'll give Froch this, he knows his **** in terms of what is going on in the game. He knows every fighter, how they fight, who've they fought, when they've been champion, etc. There a few active fighters that have that deep respect for what has been done before them. Paulie Malinaggi is another.

With that said, Froch talks, alot, obviously. After his career in the ring, I wouldn't be suprised to see him as a promoter or an analyst.

Calzaghe beats Froch, handidly. The speed in both hands is just too much. Where would this fight take place anyway? I'm not sure that Calzaghe will come back down to super. No reason for a Hopkins/Calzaghe rematch. Dawson is the best opponent out there right now.

Froch/Pavlik? Only if Froch comes down to 160. Pavlik isn't ready to carry the weight above 160 just yet. Give him a few years as he gets older. If Froch comes down to 160 he'll get tore up. I'll get a lot of **** for this I know because the Brits across the pond love Froch.

            I said it before...

Kessler/Bute & Taylor/Froch on the same card. Winners fight. Mills Lane said Let's Get It On!

              Warren Boxing Organisation.

I find Froch refreshing as he actually tells everybody he wants to fight Calzaghe, Pavlik, Taylor etc....

The on the otherhand we have that miserable welsh w*nker telling everyone he DONT want to fight Froch, Pavlik and Taylor.

Joe - your retired, so why dont you just p*** off and let the guys who actually WANT to fight, fight.

as much as Calzaghe would make easy work of Froch, I think Froch makes some good points here and Calzaghe makes some hypocritical statements(as usual).

Froch's good point: "What was Calzaghe's motivation to fight manfredo"?
Calzaghe's hypocritical statements: "I only want fights that will improve my legacy".

Someone should tell Calzaghe that fighting 40 year olds hasn't ever improved anyone's legacy in the history of boxing. If Calzaghe wants to improve his legacy, he needs to face Dawson.

Why was Joe deserving of a fight against Prime Roy or Hopkins 8-10 years ago?

I agree with a lot of your views but Joe has been in this story before, but he was in Froch's seat.
