i am a calzaghe and froch fan, but calzaghe is the one that's annoying the hell out of me. froch has always wanted the wbc title as its the most prestigious so course he chases the champion when he is high up on their rankings, so too were inkin and taylor whom he was willing to fight, but none of them were. fair play to froch, could have done it a lot earlier going down the frank warren route and getting a shot at the wbo.

calzaghe to me is getting too ****y, not in a boxers way, which i like in a boxer but a slimy way , the antics with hopkins and jones, he would not had the chance to showboat like that when they were in their prime, now mouthing off about boxing, points that i agree with, but he has known these problems for years but chose to say when he milked his share first.

would have calzaghe reacted the same as froch, by calling him out if he was being denyed a shot at eubank when he was wbo champion, course he would. froch got what he wanted and you got what you wanted, joe stop bitching and retire with class, i.e lewis style

Yeah this feud is starting to get really heated and a touch personal.But i think Froch needs some convincing wins and title defences against top 10 oppostion or maybe one big win etc Taylor, Kessler, before Calzaghe will give him a fight. But Calzaghe's not getting any younger and after watching Froch last fight i do belive its a fight Calzaghe can win.

Regardless, this fight will not happen. Joe doesn't like Froch, is sick of his constant **** talk, feels he would gain nothing by fighting Froch, thinks he's a crap fighter, and doesn't feel he deserves a decent pay day.

By boxing fans who know he's been overprotected his whole career and needs to solidify his place amongst all time greats. He is not there yet in the minds of knowledgeable boxing fans. He needed to do more earlier in his career and has to make up for it now. Dawson is the biggest step in doing so. The Lacy and Kessler wins were good wins, but they were not tested foes even with their sterling , yet padded records. Hopkins and Jones were also good wins but came way too late in their careers and everyone knows the fights would have been differently had they happened in the primes of all the the fighters involved. You can dissagree if you want, but Calzaghe will have to do more to be an ATG. You cannot just decide at the end of your career to face a couple of dangerous guys and be considered brilliant all of the sudden and hang em' up. Simple as that.

And , as far as never happening against Froch, don't be too suprised if it does. Calzaghe is known for taking fights with fighters he's sure to beat.

Joe would smash Froch to pieces i think 99% would agree with that but Joe doesnt need to fight him or actually anyone as there are no GREAT fighters out there. People saying "Dawson is da man" no he's not and plus he fought a **** 40 year old which goes past most as they bring up Calzaghe winning against actual good fighters which Hopkins was in his 40s but who is fighting well at the moment.
