I did discuss this topic a while back and there was a discussion on a possibility of a rule change for what should/would and shouldn't/wouldn't be allowed.

For example: a WW {147} fight should have two fighters weigh-in at 147 on the scales the day before the fight. The next day, about 1-3 hours before the fight, the fighter will have to get weighed again. If the fighter is over 147pounds (and this is what we discussed), it may be allowed to give some room, say two pounds, so that the fight could go on. However, every pound over those two pounds {149}, and the fight can be canceled. If the fight goes on (with the approval of the opponent), money deductions will be taken out for each pound over {either 147 or the two extra pounds), and given to the opponent (if that opponent himself isn't over the weight-limit and approves of going on).

If the fight is canceled, then their will be a suspension.

All your hypothetical rule change seems to favor Mayweather...coincidence?

No because the idea started after Gatti destroyed Gamache. That's when I started to really pay attention to the weight issue.

I do notice however that you continue to push for 140 instead of 147 where both Pac and Floyd had already fought and won. And knowing Floyd fights at 147+ and hasn't fought at 140 since '05, why would you want him to drain himself for the fight with Pac?
Could it be for the same reason Freddie wants him to?

Let's wait and see what fight-time weight Pac comes in for Hatton. It should be near 149, give or take a couple of pounds.
He was 147 for his fight-time weight at 135 and 149+ by fight-time against Oscar at WW...so let's see.

How about these fighters fight at the actual weight they fight at by fight-time?
      That's my point.

All favoring PBF. let him have a tune up and fight at a catch weight where the former flyweight is fighting in leveled grounds.

Pac and Floyd will probably be seperated by at most... 2 pounds

I find it pathetic how Pac stans have already started with the weight excuses, if Pacquiao is the supposed best fighter ever and unbeatable beast which his followers proclaim then he should be able to beat the so called overrated runner, Floyd Mayweather at any weight

Roach has already admitted that Manny can't make 135 anymore, Pacquiao is no longer a featherweight anymore, this fight is a fair fight

Who said PBF was overrated? Fight should be on even grounds dont you agree? Easy with the generalization too......

                  • Pac will fight him at 147.

I've been telling people for months now, A lot of you underestimate Manny's abilities at higher weights. He fought in 3 different weight classes last year alone and performed phenomenally in all of them. People are just quick to jump on the "Oscar was weight drained" excuse and totally ignore how fast and strong Pac was even at 147. Now of course Oscar is no Floyd, but I don't think that's going to make Manny any less of a fighter if and when the fight takes place.

I'll tell you this much, I won't be shocked if Floyd beats Manny...but I won't be either if Manny beats Floyd.
