Shot. Meaning he cannot compete with the top guns any longer. He looked good early against Mayweather and Hopkins because they do not through a lot of punches. Do you believe that Pac would have done this to Oscar 6 years ago? Beat him... maybe. Dominate him like that... no. If Oscar steps into the ring with Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Judah (yes Judah), etc he will get a serious whipping. I am sure the aforementioned would love a bout with Pac. Can Oscar be competitive with B level fighters, yes.

They are calling Oscar shot because of how he looked against Manny.

Is Pavlik shot for the way Hopkins beat him up? Well you could say he looked shot, but he is not. He just got handed a master class by a guy much faster than him.

The same thing happened to Oscar. he is older yes, but he just stepped into the ring with a guy so on top of his game, that he would have given anyone nightmares in that ring with him.

Sometimes you just have to give the winner credit for what happened even if the opponent cannot do anything they normally do. Sometimes the winner can just get everything their own way and the loser does not have an answer.

He's definitely not shot. He may be past his prime, but calling him shot is a different story. No one should try to descredit Manny for that incredible win.

[QUOTE=F•R•K•O;4436114]I know, but it doesn't matter anyway. When Oscar was fighting regularly, Manny would still have been too much of a whirlwind to deal with. One look at the Pacquiao-Barrera fight can tell you that, and that fight was in November 2003, if I remember correctly. Manny has only improved since then.

Are you implying Pac would've beat Oscar in 2003? I hope not. Kinda makes you wonder how he lost to Erik Morales.

I honestly believe Pacquiao would have beaten Oscar in 2003 if the weight had been there. Yes. He would smack the **** out of him.

As for the Morales loss, well everyone has a bad day at the office occasionally. See Quintana-Williams, for example. Regardless, Manny avenged his loss TWICE by knocking Morales out. Twice! But credit to Morales, he was excellent.
