UFC will NEVER hit a million buys...ever.

As a fan of mma[ufc] back when a fat sumo wrestler would fight a black karate ninja, and a fan that i am right now, i know for a fact that ufc's best days are CLEARLY behind them..As of now [aside from brock] i dont see NOT ONE single fighter they can pin there hopes on to lead into the future and that includes my personal favorite Fedor Emelianenko.

The truth is that no one cares about their current crop of fighters.
Matt Hughes, Chuck liddel, Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Tim Sylvia are not the same fighters anymore and quite honestly there isnt any interest in anyone else at the moment aside from Brock..Well...what about GSP?? what about Anderson Silva u ask?? GSP is still NO WHERE NEAR the popularity of ANY of those guys..You ask any mma fan name 3 mma fighters how much do u wanna make a bet that 3 out of the 5 are gonna be the above mentioned i already named.

Dana white talked **** about Oscar/Pac, yet billed Brock/Couture the biggest fight in mma history..The mans prediction was 400,000 buys off.. if Hoya and Pac did EVEN NEAR that what would his response be then??? That ****** show TUF is GETTING ALL TIME LOW RATINGS and i hear that Dana is purposely implyin these fighters/kids to act up in hopes for more viewers..

Now as far as boxing in 2009???..Jesus the match listings are ****EN ENDLESS. I mean our main man right now is Pac..him vs Cotto, Mosley,
Marg, Marquez, Hatton, Maybe even judah, a potential against Floyd Mayweather!! Hell Mayweather vs anyone will draw huge. Hopkins Hatton Cotto and even some light weights look good and have potential..**** even though it may be a mismatch people will tune in to see Morales vs Marquez..i mean last night we saw something we NEVER thought we'd see..a Morales at a good weight, a nice rest, whos hungry as hell and is only 30 is something PEOPLE WILL HAVE INTEREST TO SEE..yes..including a bout wit barrera.

UFC90 got a measley 300,000 buys! [The one before brock/couture]
Headlined by Anderson ****en Silva!!! Their pfp best..oh and Silva fans DONT BOTHER tellin me that Cote aint ****..For UFC to be talkin all that **** about boxing dyin yet theyre pfp best does that low? I mean c'mon..what was Pacquiao vs Diaz?? just around that? Yet boxing's supposively dead...

Folks..boxing has been dying for over a 100yrs now and as a long time boxing fan i wouldnt have it any other way!!! The public has SIMPLY ACCEPTED FOR A 100 YRS that boxing has its ups and down and will ALWAYS be here to stay no matter what..it'll never leave us and you will all believe me in 2009 just like every other year before and after...so no worries fans.

The ufc...havent hit a million buys yet since the ortiz/liddell rematch a couple yrs ago. and as of now the theyre current heavy weight champion is a man with record of 2-1 before his title shot...UFC will always hover around 300,000 - 750,000 and will continue to say 'boxing's dead' all while boxing is hovering around the same buys but will hit a million buys every now and then just like how we have been the past couple yrs...

I thought Liddell v Ortiz did over a million buys...

edit: Understood. The problem with UFC is the nature of the sport is volitile and it is nearly impossible to have steady champions, e****ially as the sport gets bigger with more competitors training in different styles of fighting.

it is volitile..and when the president talks every word about boxing is simply negative and every OTHER word is F this F that one would assume its not a properly runned company which is why this "ufc mainstream" talk has been goin on for how long now????

That is true, but I was referring to holding on to popular champions. When the fighters and promoters do not choose the fights, and due to the nature of the sport, (so many ways to win) it is not condusive to longevity for fighters.

take my word for it..it will NEVER EVER hit a million..it'll do just a bit better than boxing every now and then but boxing will be the one putting up million dollar buys..pac beatin hoya will do WONDERS this sport..and people will certainly develop interest for other fighters as they learn more about this sport.
