        Oscar SHOT?
        Pac just that good?
        Pac beat floyd?
anything else you can think of...

I think its a decent combination between oscar being shot and pacman being just that good...

well actually i wouldnt say oscar is exactly SHOT but i do think pacman was just too fast for oscar...so fast that oscar seemed to be having problems "pulling the trigger" in the fight.

He seemed so hesitant to let his hands go and when he did pacman was too fast and could nail him with 4-5 shots to oscar's one or two.

I think this fight wasnt the best fight for oscar at this stage of his career...

can oscar still fight? yes...but in my opinion he should only be fighting guys his own age or guys not known for their speed...

this is definately not the oscar i seen tune-up against forbes...that oscar didnt have a problem pulling the trigger nor did he look as slow and old.

This is where my next statement comes in...

i think oscar was weight drained...he weighed in officially at 145...i think he really killed himself to get that low and it showed during the fight...

i think pacman next fight needs to be against floyd...its (in my mind) the only fight that makes sense for him or floyd right now and lets face it...retired or not floyd is still one of the best fighters in the world...

thats my opinion on this but i make to make it PERFECTLY CLEAR TO EVERYONE that im not taking anything away from pacman...he fought the best fight i could have predicted him to and he deserves all the credit in the world for this win.

Oscar did look shot after eating quite a few straight lefts thrown down the pipe. He started getting very weary in round three and was actually weary of throwing punches as Manny countered everything he threw. Manny actually buzzed him a few times early and that was all she wrote. Oscar was then a man without any answers.

Manny's speed was simply just too much for him. He never allowed Oscar to find any rhythm at all.
This makes the most sense for me. Oscar wasn't prime... but he certainly wasn't shot. He would've knocked out a defensively clueless fighter like Mayorga AGAIN and a lot sooner than Shane Mosley did.

Yeah, him coming in at 147 on fight night was really weird, as you said, he normally weighs about 160 when he fights.

exactly right. Oscar does better with fighters that stay and box in front of him, Pac was moving all of over the place using angles and Dela Hoya just couldn't time him. People say Oscar wasn't throwing, but in the first round Oscar was angry and looking to take Pacs head off, but Pac was ducking and dodging most of the combos Oscar was throwing. Pacs speed was just too much for him. And when he got careless or even threw the jab, Pac would counter with straight lefts all day and even gave Hoya a huge body shot that had him dobbled over for a second.

People say it was fixed, but it wasn't. Oscar was so frustrated that he couldn't hit Pac, that he actually grabbed the back of Pacs head and half muay thai clinched him with his left hand free to throw inside uppercuts to Pacs face which 4 clean hard punches landing for Hoya.

Overall, Pac was just great and Hoya even though not in his prime and over the hill, hes not completely shot like Roy Jones is now.
