There has been a lot of 'Oscar threw the fight' threads, for some reason a lot of people believe he threw the fight.

As usual after a fight, some people give him credit, sometimes too much credit and some people refuse to give him credit at all so it's nothing new.

        Oscar's shot.
        Pacquiao looked great.

        Pacquiao couldn't live with Floyd.

        End of thread.

Fuсking Oscar didn't throw anything in round 7.
          Pacquiao was just destroying him.

The punches Oscar did throw in the fight had no snap.
          They were pushing punches.

I thought Pacquiao had absolutely no chance of winning this fight given the weight disparity, not for lack of ability. It doesn't matter if they weigh in at the same weight or not. Oscar is and always was the much bigger fighter. Seeing them in the ring together was almost sick how big a size differential there was. It was as bad as Oscar-Gatti where Oscar looked twice as big as his opponent.

Pacquiao is and always was a much better fighter than Oscar. Going into this fight, I had ranked the top 10 of the last 20 years (after Whitaker and Holyfield)

                1. Mayweather
                2. Lewis
                3. Pacquiao
                4. Roy
                5. B-Hop
                6. De La Hoya

After last night, Oscar has to drop completely out of the top 10. You just can't lose a fight with that kind of size advantage, no matter how skilled the other guy is. Oscar is no Ruiz or Tarver, who were annihilated by smaller but more skilled fighters in Roy and B-Hop. Oscar is highly skilled himself and more technically sound than Pacquiao. He should have walked through Pacquiao.

So, Pacquiao is clearly #1 or #2 of the last 20 years given accomplishment over so many weight classes. I don't think he stands a chance against Mayweather given the way Marquez and Morales were able to outbox Pacquiao for many, many rounds. Mayweather is twice the master that Marquez and Morales are and would beat Pacquiao quite easily in my opinion.

Oscar was highly overrated for many years by everybody, including myself.

Pacquiao is one of the greatest fighters of all time, just outside the top 10.

I thought DLH looked shot, I rewatched the fight and thought the same thing, he couldn't get his shots off, he looked like a guy who saw the openings but once he tried to do something, those openings weren't there anymore, his legs looked gone, I mean when was the last time he got pushed back like he did in the 7th round? Vargas? His reflexes looked very slow, all signs of a shot fighter.

Pacquiao fought a great fight though, no doubt about it, he's a great fighter but I honestly feel that DLH is shot.

oscar looked kind of good in training camp. i think he is done as far as competing with fast fighters. speed was definitely what killed him. i still think he could beat mayorga and trindidad. oscar is without a doubt over the hill though. i personally think he should retire, but if he doesnt he needs to fight another over the hill fighter to close out his career. oscar is 2nd tier at this point in my mind, and pacquiao will make a 2nd tier fighter look like a nobody.

i feel pacquiao would have beaten any oscar that night, pac looked fantastic, but again thats just my speculation, debating is useless.

pacquiao didnt really look small in the ring, oscar didnt use his advantages but, pacquiao looked good at 147. with that said, williams would maul him. cotto and pac at 140 would be more fair for those suggesting that.

this is definitely the best pac ive seen. his defense was absolutely flawless. although oscar couldnt do anything against him anyways even if he used no defense, you could tell pacquiao has really stepped up his game as a smarter fighter.

                    conclusion
-oscar isnt completely shot, but well over the hill
-pacquiao made him look worse than he really is
                    -pac is pretty much incredible
