Dana White's just mad that the UFC doesn't contribute to anything historic. Can anyone tell me who were the top conteders in each division in 1997? Nope. Why? Cus no one knows or cares.

Now who can name top contenders in 1997 for boxers?

Forget 1997, in 1897 we had Corbett, Fitzsimmons and Jeff Jeffries. Maybe we should try to get The Rock to come and box Sugar Ray Leonard for a title shot?

So answer me this question. What casual fan isn't going to come off this PPV feeling ripped off? How are you, the boxing fan, going to tell Mr. Casual that his $55 was well spent watching interviews for a half hour while Ortiz/Rusto was going on and then watch Medina puss out to Lopez and then 40 whole ****ing minutes of talk before the main event?

      I'm all ****ing ears.
Yes, the under cards were weak. Yes, the production was a little off. But it's PPV HBO ya know?

Me personally, actually like watching the interviews or comments of other fighters. That's part of the boxing game. With boxing a lot of it has to do with anticipation for a fight.

Even though it was a one sided fight, even though Oscar got his ass whoooped on, it was still a decent show. Decent. I think the Hopkins-Pavilk show was a little better. But Pacquiao's my hero.

          ahhaha, my thoughts exactly.

Dana White was just disappointed because he didn't get a hard-on watching it since there was no dry humping...

That's exactly what i'm sayin!! There wan't no UFC in 1897....c'mon

I'm definately not into the whole UFC thing. When UFC gets to be almost 100 years old, then i'll get into it. Until then, Boxing will always reign supreme.

This shouldn't be an excuse and you shouldn't settle for that.

                  They ****ing robbed you.

Your talking talent. I'm talking production.

Their production pretty much says "We don't give a ****."

Do you ever talk about anything else then just MMA on this boxing forum??

Every MMA thread your here sucking off Dana White or anything else associated with MMA, Dana is talking **** because they had to play "we will rock you" twice. He never has anything good to say about the sport yet he goes to the events and brings it up every chance he gets.

at least boxing fights dont end cause some guy is bouncing around and all of a sudden snaps his acl.

                      Valid points, though improperly delivered.
The production was poor and disorganized. Merchant, Lampley and even Steward need to go. They were boring, disorganized and painful to watch, e****ially with the 45 minute time with no fights.

This production does not appeal to younger viewers, who may be interested in the sport itself.
I have no problem with the undercard mismatches, as I think the undercard on a ppv like this is a great way to showcase upcoming talent in impressive fashion.
I was very dissapointed with the show last night apart from the fights.
Get the producers of 24/7 involved with HBO ppv.
                      Soon.
