Dana White: "Pacquiao-De La Hoya, Bad Day For Boxing"

The undercards for both Mayweather/DLH and Mayweather/Hatton were **** as well. This isnt anything new, yet people still come back to buy. I cant say I disagree with him. We could always use better undercards, but it isnt going to have any effect now if it didnt before.

The production of the fights themselves get better and better. That fight was almost like watching a movie, the way they shot it. So I dont see how he can criticize that.

I guess that's 50 of Dana's dollars in HBO's pocket too btw...

Dana White is right though, the production was absolute ****.

The guy is a joke and he is blind to the flaws in his own sport but he has a couple valid points here and the bottom line is that a 3-4 hour broadcast does need to have a pace to it and should be able to build suspense instead of killing it over and over again.

I remember in past hbo ppv of years ago they used to show new boxnig footage of the fighters in the main event. Now, they just show the same old footage nothing new.

You have to admit, the undercards lasing a whole 40min leaving HBO hanging with their own 40min to kill is busch league. When the UFC has time to kill, they'll show an undercard fight that wouldn't have made it to air under normal circumstances.

As for Dana, the guy is a fight promoter, of course he's going to talk smack about boxing. Boxing promoters are always ****ting on the UFC and MMA as well. That's just the game, take it with a grain of salt.

Pacquiao made DLH look like a senior citizen, just like he made MAB and EM look old.

Dana White is a CLOWN...Worry about ur own product douche bag...If the undercard was UFC and it had 3 quick KO's by rising stars they'd be raving about it but since it happened in Boxing it's bad. Yeah and if the fights went the distance and had been boring people be complaining about that. You can't make everyone happy. I got to see Pacquiao an ATG and 3 rising stars in Jacobs,Lopez and Ortiz so why should I be mad?

I love how Dana White, Joe Rogan, and other MMA guys **** on boxing, and then right after say I don't hate boxing, I really love it. I don't know how good or bad the production was. I just saw the main event and thought it was good as usual. I do like mma and the UFC though, but the promotions for the Couture-Lesnar were ridiculous. They are saying Lesnar, who was 2-1 and 10 years removed from college wrestling, is some unbelievable warrior that God formed with his own two hands, and Couture who is 45 and didn't fight in over a year is better than ever. All this when the best heavyweight in mma (Fedor) isn't even in the UFC.
