I don't understand why Mr. White feels the need to add his personal opinion on boxing almost every month. Do you see Bob Arum, Oscar, or Don King joking about how BOXING's HW division is BETTER than the UFC's??? The Heavyweight Division in the UFC is controlled by a 2-1 fighter, get real Dana.

        A question for y'all

Would you rather listen to great commentators for 40 mins. straight,

        OR

Would you rather watch 40 mins of an action-packed undercard?

Saturday night's Mega PPV event was boxing's chance to try and get new people under the tent. You can't simply entice people by showing a bunch of old farts talkin' for 40mins, boxing simply needs to put on quality undercards.

The promoters need to start shellin' out the $$$ to pay for higher caliber fighters that are evenly matched to fight on the undercard , so that the casual fan can truly enjoy a fun, exhilirating evening of an entire boxing event, and not have them yawn through 40mins of commetating while waiting for the main event.

The bottomline is, you want the casual and hardcore boxing fans to stay glued or keep them on their seats if they're at the arena during undercard bouts.

Agree 100%, but they can put that money in their own pocket instead. That's why it'll never happen. Instead of relying on a good main event with a solid undercard, they can just hype the **** out of the main event and get away with ****all for the rest of the night, thereby giving them a higher percentage. UFC doesn't do that, which is why the popularity has grown ten fold in the last 8yrs.
