i just cant see it happening... the physicall differences are too big... a few adjustments and it would be williams game... i dont think williams would be as careless against cotto as he was against verno... he knew he could get in and egt dirty with verno, but he would definitely have a solid gameplan against cotto... if he stuck to the outside, i see cotto having one of the elongest nights of his lifeComment

Not really. Movement gives Williams problem, Cotto showed he can move and box effectively against Margarito, until Margarito caught up to him, Williams doesn't apply the same type of pressure that Margarito does and doesn't punch as hard as a fight goes on either, if Cotto keeps moving and stays off the ropes, he can win the fight IMO, the body shots in the fight should be brutal though, Williams' right hook to the body has become quite a weapon but I'm not sure if he can land it against a moving target, Cotto's left hook to the body wouldn't have to look far to find it's target.i just cant see it happening... the physicall differences are too big... a few adjustments and it would be williams game... i dont think williams would be as careless against cotto as he was against verno... he knew he could get in and egt dirty with verno, but he would definitely have a solid gameplan against cotto... if he stuck to the outside, i see cotto having one of the elongest nights of his lifeComment

But, Williams trying to keep Cotto off him would be much harder

It's not as though Williams is Nicolai Valuev and is unable to move and box... you seem to be basing this on the one fight, the first Quintana fight, against another southpaw. IF anyone is going to have problems its going to be the 5 foot 7 guy with short arms trying to figure out how to beat someone 7 inches taller with a foot longer reach, who bounces around, has a solid chin, throws 100+ punches around, and is a southpaw... I can't possibly see Cotto as being anything BUT the underdog in this fight. Not really. I think Williams is just as capable of moving around and boxing right with Cotto... Miguel also doesn't have the most technical defense ive ever seen either... I see the "lean-in ear muff" defense being a serious problem as well... Cotto's main weapon would be to goto the body and suck williams into a toe-to-toe battle.
I'm not saying Cotto can't win the fight... but acting as though Cotto would be anything other than the underdog, is quite ree****yaluss, to me.Comment
