Cotto couldn't handle the volume of punches from Antonio Margarito. Williams throws much more punches than Antonio and lately he has been sitting down more on his punches. I can't understand how people think Cotto will be able to handle and 6'2 punching machine when he couldn't handle Margarito, who already got beaten by Williams.

But I do agree with you... Williams throws a lot of punches, he is sitting down on them more... and it would be tough for Cotto to over come that...

Its Margarito Cotto all over again but this time i guess it could even end on a Williams KO, Williams has more power on a single shot than Margarito so Cotto wont quit this time. Im still in doubt between Williams UD or Williams KO, but i would go with the KO as Williams can really hurt guys, Cotto has average defense and Miguel inside work wont be enough. He could try to outbox him, but the first time he get caught he will think again...

the only people who will fight williams are the people who have more to gain then they do to lose... seems like anyone with something to lose wont sign up
they should fight him JUST BECAUSE hes one of the best at the weight...

I think you might be right on that Tony.
Paul's corner had to keep reminding him to keep Verno 'at bay', to 'fight outside',
but it's almost like it was natural for Will to keep coming in close. And this wasn't the first fight where he did this, which might be good news for Cotto.

I think A LOT rides on confidence, so it depends on what happens to Cottos fight in June, and Will's fight against Dzindziruk if it happens.
If Cotto overcomes the adversity of Marg, I have little doubt he won't overcome alot of the other welterweight-trials.
On the other hand, I believe Will's time is ticking. Stetching himself out among 4 weight divisions is asking for trouble. If Dzindziruk doesn't take him down, I'M SURE someone else will.
It's only a matter of time. If a 'losing streak' ever starts for Will, he's not superhuman enough for it to not affect his mentality and maybe afterwards his performance.
But again Cotto/Will tough fight to call.
