No I don't understand why they do it, bringing the NFL over here to ****ter weather and people who aren't interested. That last game they did I only found out about when I was flicking through the TV channels and it was on BBC2 and I just thought 'This is wierd' and continued flicking.

You're right. I shouldn't even have tainted rugby (Union or League) by associating it with that rubbish. I'd love to see the likes of one of these vastly overpaid Quarterback at the bottom of a ruck in the 6 Nations. They'd be crying back to Madden in a matter of minutes.

It is not a main stream sport in the UK to be honest the majority of people don’t even care about it, but it does have a cult following you might say. The following sport are more popular over here, So the NFL has a lot of competition.

              Real Football
              Rugby
              Cricket
              F1
              Boxing
              Golf
              Tennis
              Athletics
              Horse Racing
              Snooker

I'm pretty sure Jonny wilkinson would be crying back to Rob Andrew if he got smashed by a few blitzing linebackers aswell.

Look i've played League upto County level, i've played Union for 2 club teams, 4 ships and 3 naval bases, and I lasted 20 minutes on an American Football field as a running back, the impacts are on a scale higher and that was for "Manchester All Stars" not teh Dallas Cowboys.

I've never understood this bottom of the ruck thing, it's not like it hurts, you might occasionally get raked if your slowing teh ball down but i would take studs down my back 100 times over a helmet in my jaw once.

it's a different sport, Rugby players would run rings around American football players in a full game because they just don't have the stamina, but a single one on one hit AF > League > Union.

Love it personally and I'm British. I went to both the Dolphins-Giants game and the Chargers-Saints game. I like the blend of athleticism, tacticality and brute force. I don't know how anyone can say that Rugby is more interesting. Rugby is so vastly more predictable, ugly to watch and backwards. So what if it's continuous, it's continuously boring! I hate the culture that surrounds Rugby teams as well, and this is coming from someone who was a part of one for a period of time. There is an inbred arrogance and lack of concern for others. You'll notice at every university in this country that the Rugby teams always act like wankers.

I play American Football for my university team and you really do appreciate how much of a complete team sport it is from playing. Everyone has to do there job if a play is to work. Sure you get some examples of individual brilliance, but usually if something works, it works because a block was held or a misdirection confused someone. No other sport like it.
