To be the man you have to beat the man! and Margarito did that by destroying Cotto the #1 welterweight! Margarito wasnt top dog yet when he lost to Williams. and back to the original question i can defend it because first of all Arum controls what margarito does. and Arum has no interest in dealing with Goosen because of his BS even though i admit its **** cause Arum is the same ****in way! uh no. He hasn't drawn a crowd since Vargas and even then he needed Vargas' name to do it. Mayorga drew less than 4000 people and his fight with Collazo drew less than 3000.

There is no clear #1 WW. That would have to be decided between Marg/Williams/Cotto. Margarito would have to rematch Williams, with the winner fighting Cotto. Some may have a different opinion, but that's how i see it.
