I agree that he wasn't as big a puncher and Jackson, but I disagree with some of your reasoning. For example you criticise Benn for not doing much damage to Collins in 2 fights, even though he was shot by then and his heart wasn't in it anymore. But what about the fact that Hearns did less damage to Barkley in 2 fights than Benn did to him in one round?
It's true that Barkley was stopped on the 3KD rule, but it's still very impressive.
He didn't do much damage to Watson, but that's because Watson was smart and covered up very well, so Benn wasn't able to land flush. Benn did land solidly on Eubank in the first fight and he hurt Eubank a couple of times, even though Eubank was the bigger man on the night and had a very good chin.
Even though Benn did knock out a lot of nobodies, I think that you can still tell something about his power from those fights. For example most boxers beat a lot of nobodies by KO/TKO when they were prospects, but not in the same brutal fashion that Benn did it. Benn had people out cold, and staggering around, not being able to control their legs etc.
