Boxing has always had these types of fights; go through it's history. Even as far back with the Ancient Greeks; there was no weight limit...why? because in nature, there are no weight limits.

So, get over it or tell the NFL to stop pitting 185 pound WR against 265 pound LB when they go up the middle.

And Shaq should not be allowed to play in the NBA; what a bully.

There is always bull**** in this all, I know, but in the end, most of us want to see a knockout.

Simply because you are comparing Apple to Oranges. Who cares how it was fought Centuries ago. People heads and hands were chopped off in open public for committing certain crimes in those days as well
But in today's society that is not practical and society would find it too brutal and would not go for it

Same thing with Fighting/Boxing certain rules and conventionally competition in today Boxing are within certain rules.
Weight and Size within certain weight classes matter significant.

Manny Pac could easily win every fight from 115-130
But if he fought 147 or higher he would get killed easily

Why is that? Because of simply the size difference....

I appreciate the respectful way you responded, even though I may have insulted you.....

SEe the bold and underlined, if Pac right now fought at 115, he'd get knocked the **** out, and im not sure he beat Humberto Soto at 130, he fights at 122 he'd lose as well. You don't under stand what weight drained means.

There have been many skill mismatches before. But this is a complete and utter size mismatch.

It would be like Paul Williams fighting Wladamir Klitschko!

Show me anytime in history where a guy who fought at 115 pounds (Flyweight) has moved up to fight a guy who has fought fighters as big as 175 pounds (Light-Heavyweight)?

Show me that and I'll shut up!

It has NEVER happened because when real boxing fans existed, they would not have let it happen.
But now that we have Kool-Aid drinking girls as boxing fans

Look at the match-ups we get!
Duran started at 119 and fought Tommy Hearns who won a title at Lightheavyweight and even won the IBO title at cruiserweight.

Current cruiserwight Champ Guillermo Jones started at 147

Former Welter champ Mickey Walker fought heavyweights and won a few fights there

Sam Langford fought from lightweight to Heavyweight.

Billy Conn started at lightweight and ended up fighting for the Heavyweight title twice.

Good point Fero but I was speaking throughout his career. Pac at weight classes he fought in. He dominated.
Pac would easily lose to any contender at 140 (Bradley, Hatton)
Pac would get his head chopped off at 147 (Cotto, Margarito)

And yet he is actually fighting someone way heavier than all these fighters I've mentioned.

Like I said show me a point in boxing history where a guy as little as Manny Pac went up THREE WEIGHT CLASSES to fight someone as big as De La Hoya who at the SAME TIME is dropping TWO Weight classes!

                  This is unprecedented!

Again every fight that I can think of (Roy Jones-Ruiz, bhop-tarver, Bhop-DLH, Hearns-Hagler) where a fighter was moving up in weight classes ONLY ONE of the fighters were moving UP and not the Other also moving DOWN so far!

Manny pac punches will feel like a pillow fight to De la hoya. It is that simple!

DLH isn't moving down two weight classes. He was never really a MW and his best weight was WW. Pac is moving up two classes, he looked pretty decent at LW, and weighed more on fight night than most other LWs. We're talking about one guy in his prime, fighting two weights above where he looked very effective, fighting a past prime and inactive guy at his most effective weight, but where he will probably be weight drained enough to make the fight even more competitive.
