He lost to a true legend so it's hard to say. If he had lost to someone without the skills of Hopkins then I would definitely say he was exposed but B-Hop could do that to most fighters in his weight range. I like watching Pavlik so I hope he uses the defeat to his advantage and comes back a smarter, better fighter. He is still the man at 160 so it's not like he has nothing to fight for anymore, and has shown already that he can compete at a high (not the highest, yet) level so I'm gonna sit back and wait a while before I make up my mind on Pavlik.

i think Pavlik is still a good fighter but Bernard laid down the gameplan to beat him..... moving to the side, giving angles, and surprisingly taking the fight to Kelly (something most fighters dont do with him)...... Bernard used good ol fashioned boxing skills and put on a clinic
I think it was a combination of an off night for Pavlik plus a great gameplan and execution of it by Hopkins. Hopkins looked fantastic.

Pavlik's reflexes looked WAY off in that fight. While Hopkins did a good job, he wasn't as unhittable as he looked. The openings were there, Pavlik just couldn't throw with any sense of timing that night,

The poll options aren't really fair. I think he was exposed... but also he'll be back.

He'll be back as the same fighter he was before a sharp counterpuncher with solid defensive fundamentals exposed him (Calzaghe would have done him just as good as Bhop did). He's still gonna be a one dimensional 1-2 machine.

his trainer was the one exposed if anything. He had no clue how to deal with Hopkins' guile. Besides Pavlik has never been the most versatile fighter in the game.

So is Kelly going to fight Rubio next?

I haven't heard much about his future plans since the Hopkins fight.

That's Arum's plan, have Pavlik fight Rubio at the beginning of next year.

I think Pavlik will be just as good back at his natural weight. I don't think he was "exposed" because his weaknesses were obvious but most at MW's wont be able to take advantage of them. I still want to see a Pavlik/Abraham fight since that is the best fight that can be made at MW, IMHO.

This would be a great fight.

He was only exposed if you thought he was the second coming of Jesus.

If you always thought he was a good but limited young fighter who really should be looking to dominate his own division for a couple of years before fighting some of the big names in the heavier divisions then you were proved right, but that doesn't make Pavlik exposed.

Will be interesting to see whether he can come back from it though. It's not as if it was a Lacy style whipping but it wasn't all that far off.
