This 2 million offer to Collazo back when he fought Mosley keeps coming up. Do you guys mind sharing that link?
I found a link that says Golden Boy offered $750,000 to Kermit Cintron so he could fight Mosley. Cintron backed out and in came Collazo. I'm curious to know why they would've offered $2mil to Collazo after only offering $750,000 to Cintron.

margarito is a idiot, hes trying to get money,he should of fought williams, now who is he going to fight for more than two million,i think he just wanted a tune up fight and realized mosely is more than a tune up fighter.but iam pissed i really believed marg. could've beat mosely.i think marg. got this cotto fight stuck in his head, iam telling all margarito got really hurt in that fight with cotto.he will be on more defense in the rematch, people think hes coming in with more pressure i doubt that.but thats in june,i just wonder who will he fight next.

MellowMood, here is a quote from one of the posters: "The idea that you think margarito would accept 2mill from hbo to fight shane when collazo received 2mill is a joke."

I'm just wondering if there is a link to that info.

now, would you be foolish enough and argue with me that cotto is not margarito's biggest win???? if margarito was a nobody before that, and cotto was not a HUGE draw himself, what makes you think margarito is gonna be in a position to demand big money after that?

bottom line, you and margarito can cry about collazo recieving 2mil also to fight shane, but 2mil is a career best for margarito, and honestly, what other options does he have????
what other options? Oh none really just a chance to fight clottey in a unification fight then fight cotto in another unification fight in a bigger fight than a mosley fight and having a chance to hold the wba, wbo, and ibf belts. But other than that he doesn't have any options.

Oh by the way name me a current ww with more victories over top 10 ww's. name a ww with 9 championship defenses. name a ww that has fought lujan, williams, clottey, cintron(2x's), and cotto. name me a ww whose resume beats that. I'll be waiting.

To me it makes sense that Margarito doesn't want to fight Mosley. He knwos Mosley is a Warrior and a risk that could spoil his Big Money$$$$ rematch against Cotto. Also, the reason why he didn't take the Williams fight is too simple. He fears P.W.

for any reason margo aint a draw..... and thats why promoters are offering that money...

In my opinion marg should be paid more.... but thats just my opinion... the real fact is that nobody for whatever reason is not putting money on tony's pocket unless "THE PROMOTERS ARE CONVINCED THAT MARG WILL BRING ENOUGH REVENUE FOR THEM" he needs to step up... and show & prove the promoters that his stock have raised. and a good way to do it.. is by fighting a NONDRAW ELITE NAME like Shane...

thats why i think this is a bad move from margarito... with that being said.... margs KOS shane....

I second that. He has never been an elite level fighter. Collazo's claim to fame is coming close with Hatton, a 140 lb'er. And being competitive with Shane. Margs is hoping on two options. Pwill and Oscar. Oscar hinted that he may fight Margs in the future, but Margs will need two more big wins. Pwill is the fall back. But that 4 mill may decrease with a devastating Pwill performance against Verno. Because then he will want more of the pie.
