Taylor's down fall is wanting to please the fans. It got critizied for not knocking out a few of his oppenents and when he met Pavlik he wanted to go for the KO. He alomst had it but he abandoed what gets him there the jab and the right hand. My guess is he will come out with that bow and arrow jab and right hand. Once the rounds get going he will get into exchanges and eventually get into a brawl. People think that Froch will KO Taylor but truely I think Taylor has the ability to KO Froch as well. My prediction is Taylor by KO Round 7...Lefty

I really saw the fight as it could have been. Taylor had the chance to finish Froch but failed. Now he is back in the super 6 tourney and is he poised for another come back attempt???...Just wonderinghow you see Taylor's chances in this whole thing?....Lefty

I predicted that Taylor would school Froch while knocking him down in the process. But it turned out that Jermain just fell apart from round 7/8.

If he can get some great conditioning, work with Shilstone if thats true or not, I think he has a great chance of beating Abraham. If he does all that, and still he can't win the fight, then I'll let this go...

But I still feel he has a lot to give.

Agreed and as I said before he to me tried to hard to please the fans and instead of boxing usinghis jab and striaght right hand he got himself in to slugfest with bigger punchers like Pavlik and now Froch...If he uses his jab and moves to the side and circle rather then goingstraight back and getting stuck on the ropes and in the corners he has the other tools to win and possibly score a late round Knock out....Lefty

If Abraham beats him, will he proceed to face Ward and Kessler. I think Taylor can win, but if he loses I fear he will **** the tournament up.

Samrt move going into this tourney cause even if he losses the first fight and is on a 2 fight losing streak he is still defintely going to get another fight....Lefty

Exactly, Taylor messes up so many basic things, but that's partly the reason why I love watching his style. He really has to move to the side, like you are saying. He can't back up in a straight line, with his hands raised. His block isn't even that good either, he puts his gloves out infront, either side of his face, leaving room for everything to come down the middle.

That's something I've thought about too. If he had a bad loss, could he possibly continue? Maybe he would have no choice. He's signed the contracts.

It sickens me to think of a possibility that Taylor could leave the tournament with a 28-6-1 record.

He needs to find ways to clinch to and not to be ashamed of it. Many great fighters clinch when in trouble and we think nothing less of them. Its part of the game.

He should do what Frank Bruno did when training for Oliver McCall and take clinching lessons, wrestling with dudes lol

I see the flaws in his style and I don't know why he doesn't hire a trainer like ****m Richardson..Well i can imagine why since Hopkins would probably crap on himself if Nasim trained Taylor but someone more defensive minded. he needs to work on his defense and in my mind his jab would be a good way to start. he abandones it and liike you said backs up in a straight line with his hands held to either side of his face rathern then moving forward and then side stepping while pumping his jab. To me the jab is key for him. His right hand when thrown straight is very good and pinpoint. his finishing skills are some to be worked on as well. But in my mind he shouldn't be a knock out artist or at least he shouldn't fight that way. i think the fact they menaing his critics were all talking about his KO's in recent fights or lack there of lead him to try hard to KO Pavlik and then Froch. He gassed himself out and we all know what happened then...he needs to out box and if he has someone hurt like he did with pavlik and Froch finish them!!1 throw a GOD DAMN UPPER CUT JERMAIN.....Lefty

Taylor will control the fight in the early stages. If he keeps his composure by the 8/9th round, he will see off a unanimous decision. However, we have seen him become frustrated in mid-rounds before, which leads him off into the opponents gameplan. If he does this against Froch, he could be finished in the late rounds by knockout. His stamina is my biggest worry. Also, his head will be a big factor.

                    .
A great prediction from me before the Taylor/Froch fight if i do say so myself.

As for the super six, and as far as all round skills are concerned, Taylor in my opnion is second best behind Kessler. His stamina will always be the worry though. The big punchers of the tourny - Abraham, Froch, Kessler could be worrying for Jermain. Ward and Dirrell don't have the experience Taylor has, and while Dirrell possesses quicker handspeed, Taylor - if stayed more composed - would beat them both.

It is hard to know how each fight will turn out, but Abraham will be going for a big knockout, which i favour as Taylor's head will have negative thoughts after back to back defeat against the wear you down type fighters.

lol well said, Lefty You're damn right. I'm definitly gonna go with Jermain again for this fight, because I believe he really wants this. He seems to have all the money he needs. So I can only conclude that he is a proud man. So I hope he goes all out in training and gives this his best effort.
