How would Calzaghe do against 1993 Roy Jones?

92-94 RJJ went 10 rounds with the mighty Jorge Fernando Castro, 8 rounds with the awesome Glenn Thomas, 6 rounds with the phenomenal Thulani Malinga, 10 with the superhuman Fermin Chirino (who both Steve Collins and Nigel Benn had knocked out well inside the distance) and 6 with the myth, the legend that is Danny Garcia.
Are we to believe that he would beat Calzaghe faster than he beat all of these guys?
Have a word.Comment

E****ially with a fighter like Roy, who often did minimal training for fights where he expected himself to win. I am assuming this prime Roy is the best I have ever seen him, in perfect fighting shape and the proper mindset, something he often lacked.Comment

Nobody who truly knows boxing would predict that Roy Jones would knock Calzaghe out early. Calzaghe has NEVER been knocked out, never been seriously hurt, never looked like getting stopped. All of Jones' best victories have come in points decisions or late stoppages. He's beaten a few decent contenders early. But he's never taken anyone anywhere near Calzaghe's league out early. The closest is Clinton Woods in 6 rounds and frankly if anyone thinks that Clinton is in the same league as Calzaghe, they've got a lot to learn.Comment
