How would Calzaghe do against 1993 Roy Jones?

SUPERB point, well made. I could post Calzaghe up here knocking people out in the first or second round. When its ROY we are supposed to be amazed at his fabulous skills against NOBODIES, but when JOE fights NOBODIES they are not counted.
Calzaghe getting knocked out by Roy Jones seems to be the common thread but EVERYONE seems to ignore the fact that Joes chin is one of the very best ever seen, and certainly better that Roys. If Roy had fought Joe when he had the chance, or Taylor or Hopkins for that matter, we would know for sure, but they dodged him, it wasnt the other way around.

remember that the top americans wouldnt fight calzaghe either in Wales or America and waited for him to get to the end of HIS career it seems.

Remember that pre-hand problems, Joe was knocking everyone out, just like,,,,urmmm RJJ.

Not at all, find me a fight where Joe destroys quickly an opponent of Griffin or Hill caliber.

I thinks its fairly evident that Joe would of dismanteld Roy Jones at any stage of his career from the pummeling he took a few weeks ago.
Roy was a great fighter but Joe was even greater, it would be a hard fight but Joe would definetly pull through

Imo, Calzaghe would always give him a tough fight. If Bernard Hopkins could give Roy problems in his prime then sure as hell Calzaghe can.
