So many things to consider regarding gloves. Yes the actual punching power of a fighter but also the protection of hands of a fighter.

Since boxing is really independent anyway, fighters should negotiate these things between themselfs.

    Either:

A: Both fighters agree to the same gloves, whether 8 or 10, no problems. Which would be the easiest way out.

B: Fighter A wants 8 ouncers because he is a big puncher but fighter B wants 10 ouncers either because his hands are fragile. What they can do is, agree that fighter A can wear the 8 ounchers that he wants and fighter B can wear the 10 ouncers to protect his hands. Case solved.

C: IF they can't come to an agreement on gloves, somebody neutral flips a coin. HEADS = 8 ounce , TAILS = 10 ounce. Whichever one it is, that's what BOTH fighters have to wear.

    Sounds good??
