From what I remember it could of went either way. I was only about 11 the time of the fight so can't really remember much of it. I just remember the crowd booin the result at the end of it. I remember correctly it was on SBO and Morales fought early hours of the morning. not sure though.

      It was a close fight
      Ugly at times
Reid landed his right hand multiple times and tagged him with ease

Calzaghe threw more shots, didnt land much
Reid landed the cleaner, much harder shots, but was basically didnt throw enough

Im a open calzaghe hater, i hate the man, but i had him winning by 2 rounds
typical calzaghe win, he just threw alot of punches

Reid lost the fight imo it was close but a clear decision for Calzaghe

Reid did nothing for 5 rounds if he had started earlier he very well might have beaten Calzaghe

The fight is in our videos section. Download it an watch it - yes it was a robbery - the English judge robbed Calzaghe of a deserved UD! The two American judges got it right.

          - Reid knew he lost when the fight was over and said so in the post-fight interview, the British commentators knew Joe won, and Joe knew he won.
          - Everybody agreed Joe won except for that one English home judge

That is the correct score, 115-112. You should have been a boxing judge, Silencers - you always score fights perfectly.

Reid vs. Ottke was a gift decision.

It was very similar to Dawson vs. Johnson - the better-skilled Ottke won the early and some middle rounds, but eventually was worn down by Reid's relentless aggression. Ottke was hurt in the 12th, and if it would have gone another round, Ottke would have been KOed. It was actually a close fight that could have either way on the cards - people who've actually watched it are more upset by the way the referee protected Ottke, than the judges scores.

Without the ref, Ottke gets knockoed out. I mean, grrrr...reid got warned for landing punches to the face.

That said, Cal deserved the Reid decision but, and this is important, reid was a good fighter at the time. No shame in having a close fight with a good regional rival. It's like knocking Hopkins for having a draw with Mercado when the fight itself was awesome. Sometimes, top fighters look less than top against guys who are professional and determined. Hell, even ray Robinson had his nights where guys you wouldn't think could give him a run did (Marty Servo).

the malinga fight is so undarrated in Roy's resume......Malinga beat Nigel Benn(just when the RJJ-Benn negotiations got super serious...lol...since benn wanted a cashout because he had lost to Collins) and the Undefeated Reid after getting trashed by Jones......and was never KO'ed in his prime , except by Jones, who totally destroyed him....
