Yep. I'm not even sure if there was a truly prime Calzaghe, because he would have been fighting bums around the time it happened. To the best of my knowledge I'd say the Calzaghe that fought Lacy was a prime Calzaghe. I'm not even arguing that Calzaghe would have beaten a prime Jones, in fact I don't think he would have. He'd have lost a close fight.

He didn't say it in the post-fight interview. Funny how he neglects to mention a broken hand.

Talking of post-fight interviews, it's bizarre how relaxed Reid is what happened. He didn't get OMG ROBBED (!!!!) but I thought he did enough to win it. But he seemed to accept defeat oddly well and that Calzaghe was Warren's cash cow. I know people see that as a sign of him accepting that he lost, but that makes no sense, because whatever way you look at it, it was a damn close fight.

I saw the fight, Reid wasn't robbed as some make out, it was a close fight that could have gone either way. Calzaghe looked really poor in that fight, there was something about broken hand or whatever, but basically he was up against someone good. Reid was an excellent fighter, with a good chin, shame at the tail end of his career though.

To the American fight fans, seriously, watch old Calzaghe fights, he really looks **** in some fights, then you will understand why it has taken him this long to get 'recognition'.

Well watch the Ottke fight, Reid knows the difference between a close fight and a bloody robbery.

Calzaghe broke his left hand early in the fight and won a tough battle pretty much just with his jab.

Close close fight. You can't call a close fight a robbery, ever.

Properly? 1990. But everyone liked Frank Bruno when he beat up Joe Bugner and started shilling brown sauce.

                  1. Calzaghe broke his hand in round 3
                  2. Even Reid said Calzaghe won
                  3. It was a "close" fight but Calzaghe was the well-deserved winner

Is the correct answer. Anyone dis*****g that Calzaghe broke his hand wants to see the footage when they took his gloves off.

A lot of fighters break there hands and win fights, I remember watching Floyd Patterson against hurricane Jackson and he won that first one with a broken hand after the 4th. It was a close fight but unlike many people claim Calzaghe did not fight one handed he was throwing both hands throughout the fight.
