He wasn't "saved", he'd recovered and Mitchell was legitimately hurt. I do think it was a tad early stoppage, but you do bring up something which I always found curious....Calzaghe looking at the ref to stop the fight. I mean, he literally turns his head to look at the ref. And then, as soon as Mitchell stumbles, it's over. That was ridiculous.
