Chad is really the only fight.If he beats Hopkins again he will get absolutely no credit for it,same with johnson and tarver,all the haters will be going on about senior citizens and what not

The only fight to take or one he should even consider is the Dawson fight. Of course the "I have nothing left to prove" card will be played to death and if he retires, so be it. I just think if he beats Dawson, I for one as a JC non supporter, would be content. Other than Kessler, who I see as the only prime, young, hungry fighter he has fought, JC hasn't fought a young, strong, prime fighter since then. Lacy, well come on, any intelligent boxing follower knew better than to get into that hype job. Dawson is the only fight I wanna see from him or he should retire IMO. Any other fight will be him just looking to continue to cash in on lower level/aged fighters. I honestly think he will retire and if he does, well, I guess good for him.

I think he'll have to have atleast one more fight. I'm british and have never been a fan of calzaghe due to his style. But, since his victory over RJJ I think people are starting to accept his style of fighting. Not quite, 'respecting' but accepting! I'd like to see him against dawson or froch!

If he ever really wants to garner the fame and recognition Jones jr. and Hopkins recieve as well as Toney then he needs to fight.. atleast 3-4 more fights, and if he wants to beocome an ATG he's only 36 he needs to fight 3-4 more years

Dawson should give Johnson a rematch and if Dawson wins, that will the be best fight for Joe.

If he fights and beats Dawson, that would cement his status as top LHW. If he fights and loses to Dawson, it will be his "1 fight too long" and his critics will say that he beat old timers (Hopkins, Jones) and couldn't handle a up and comer.

I could see a fight with Johnson but that won't bring any money to the table so Joe won't take that fight.

Dawson needs to get past Johnson again and then a fight with Joe would be the next step.
