I said natural super-middleweight - why change it?

I'd like to see Kessler in there with Chad but I can also understand why he would not want to at this point. Shame though, would be nice to see.

In a couple of years, Kessler will move up to 175, and Dawson will eventually move up to cruiser, since he's a big guy. We may never see this fight.

Dawson started at 168, and is 6'3" more the natural size of a cruiserweight or heavyweight. Kessler started at 154 and is a natural super middleweight. Dawson would have a size advantage, but Mikkel would win I think because of his better boxing skills.

I'd like to see Kessler vs. Bute for the Ring title at 168.

If you made a mistake then that's fine but atleast admit it.

Agreed. Palle was talking Hopkins and the Lacy-Taylor winner, both of which are conceivable. Dawson hasn't sold any tickets yet or pulled any serious ratings so it's probably a risk reward thing. Who knows? Sucks because this is a very good, evenly matched fight. I have a feeling Dawson could end up being a little like Hagler in his time, waiting for guys to come up and fight him.

How so? He has essentially come up himself. He could easily fight at 168. He has also already fought 3 past LHW champs in Adamek, Tarver and Johnson and has called out the Ring titleholder Joe Calzaghe.

Fighting Taylor or Lacy (if he beats Taylor) would be great but I'm afraid that fight will have to wait since the winner of Taylor-Lacy will likely fight the winner of Froch-Pascal for the WBC title or go on to an even bigger fight.

I'm sure Hopkins will never fight Kessler so they should give up on that.

It's about as realistic as a rematch with Calzaghe.

The hesitancy is trying to make the Miranda fight, and getting outplayed by the Abraham people, could haunt Team Kessler for years if they don't do something soon. Dawson is really the perfect risk to take (unless Hopkins decides he wants to try for a belt or to one up Joe's performance with Kessler to force the return).

Im sorry Kessler fans, but this is ridiculous. you can only point at Palle for so long, sooner or later Kessler needs to make his own decisions, and a fight against Dawson would be a fantastic matchup. What bigger fights does Kessler possibly think hes going to get? Jones? Hopkins? Calzaghe rematch? sorry bud, but as far as Ive heard they have 0 interest in fighting you.
wake up, dont be such a picky little woman.

and also, their comments on Dawson are laughable. apart from the fact that Dawson is NOT that big for his weight class, them trying to turn down a fight because hes 'too big' and 'doesnt bring anything to the table(which is bs)' kind of hints that theyre afraid of a fight with Dawson.
