      my favorite active fighter.

his technique is a work of art. his combination punching is the best in the business right now. the accuracy of which he lands these combinations is amazing. in his prime, watching marquez was like watching Skip To My Lou on an And 1 mixtape. some of the **** he was doing, id never seen before outside of RJJ.

people tend to forget the amoutn of balls it takes to go from such a successful counterpunching strategy to a more agressive one to be more marketable and exciting to the fans. He out of all the Mexican greats Pacquiao has fought has given him the most problems. And for a SMALL super featherweight to move up to Lightweight and face ANOTHER counter punching master who had never been KO'D and actually achieve it is simply what dreams are made of.

He is a master of his art.

I became a huge JMM fan after his first fight with Pac. Can a situation, or an enviorment, get any more uncomfortable than the one JMM was in? After the first round of fighting he had a broken nose and had been knocked down three time. But his heart and determination, which I respect the most in ANY boxer, went to that corner and regrouped. Re-prioritize, re-build confidence and will, GROW character. A great technician who will brawl at the same time, with anyone/anywhere/any round. I have nothing but respect for Juan Manuel Marquez and he will always be one of my favorite boxer, now and forever.

BTW: Bringer do you know who's quote that is?

good post. that just showed how much a world class boxer marquez is. i really think marquez is one of the best fighters of our generation.

Some of his finishing combinations have shown the most precise punching I've ever seen in the sport... bar none.

He just places every punch in the area of the body that is the most open that will yield the most pain to the person who takes it.

That's a pretty good skill to have as a boxer.
