Michalczewski was trying to make a comeback against Ottke and Rocchigiani some time ago.
Better later than never I guess...Comment

Michalczewski or Erdei, then retire. Or preferably just retire. Either way, Roy, please retire.Comment

I hope Roy fights on, and I think that he will. You're all getting a lil crazy begging him to stop and "dont hurt your legacy" and on and on. I think he considers all that for himself, and can worry about it on his own. Who are any of you to tell him what he should or shouldnt do. I love RJ just as much as anyone else, he's my fav fighter and I dont want to see him or any other fighter get hurt. He can do what he wants though, and I think he's still got it. I thought the fight was close till the cut. I would like to see him take any of those fights, if he wins then maybe a Calzaghe rematch. Also Glen Johnson, Tarver, Hopkins, all 40+ and I dont see nearly as many people going crazy for them to retire and all three just recently lost as well.Comment

You think he's still got it? I thought so too until about round 4 Saturday. Rounds 6-12 pretty much told me he doesn't have anything left.
His legacy is intact and he doesn't need to fight anymore but this time next year, we'll probably be posting threads on an article of another Roy fight.Comment

Roy Jones Needs To Retire
I'm a Roy Jones Jr. fan but he sold me, his fans, and the fight as if he was back to his old self. He promoted a music video did 24/7 on HBO that showed him preparing with all his supporters. Roy Jones is a shot fighter that was shot by Tarver and damaged by Glen Johnson. His weight loss from Heavyweight to Light-Heavyweight was done foolishly by starving himself instead of working it off in the ring. He has paid a price that has killed his CONFIDENCE which in turn has created a SELF DOUBT within himself. Roy knows that he is DAMAGE GOODS as a fighter, but has used his name to keep himself afloat the boxing scene with hopes of getting everyone to believe that he is the Roy Jones of old. Roy Jones supporters that are close to him (Coach Merk, Family, Friends, and Overall Big Roy) need to tell him that he is not the SAME FIGHTER AND IS EMBARASSING HIMSELF AND THE SPORT at this stage of his career despite the strain that could come to their personal relationships. I know I will get feedback on this, but true Roy Jones fans are thinking what I'm saying. Much Respect due !!!!!Comment

..... i've watched the fight about 20 times now and there's no way anyone can believe that both fighters gave anything less than %100 at the same time as making it flashy and entertaining. props to both. jones and calzaghe fought like they always have, and jones showed so much heart and spirit and never gave up. it seems like too many people are hating on him now because they want to see calzaghe beat, the same people who called bhop an old man and washed up after calzaghe sc****d by him and before he went on to destry pavlik. we know its hard to chew humble pie, calzaghe is unbeaten and will probably stay that way even if he fights johnson or dawson or froch or whoever - he's that good at what he does - but face facts, bhop, calzaghe and jones are legends, can still fight and along with johnson prove that age is no barrier .peace.Comment
