WTF? People surprise me more every day with their ******ity. If they had an agreement, you think Joe would've cut Roy like that? If that **** was true then Roy would've busted on Joe as soon as he got cut. Also, what the **** is this "damn near knocked out Joe"? He stunned him with a shot that wasn't even a real punch!

damn i hope were not witnessing another legend screw up their legacy.jones' legacy has been on a steady decline ever since the magic man tarver entered the picture.glen johnson knocked him out so brutaly that i dont think roy should face him again, antonio tarver gave everyone the formula to beat jones, just put him on the ropes and pound on him.it seems like he doesnt know what to do when hes cornered, his footwork is really poor and his defense is very sloppy.in his prime he was able to make up for those mistakes because of his lighting speed, even though he is still extremely fast now he doesnt beleive in himself anymore.he does not trust his chin,so he only shoots one over-hand right at a time, making sure hes not countered.he was clearly on survival mode vs calzaghe.as far as calzaghe goes,i dont think it wil be a smart move for him to fight hopkins again cause im 100% sure bhop will execute him.so if he retires it will be a smart move but even his fans know that he didnt really beat bernard.of course he threw more punches, but he got hit alot more.the confidence that bhop has right now is scary,he just destroyed the most powerful puncher in the sport(pavlik) and remember pavlik is a guy calzaghe did not want a part of,instead chose to fight a past-his prime jones.kelly is in his prime, joe wouldve gotten more respect beating him than jones because hes not really getting credit for the roy win cause all people keep bringing up is the fact that roy is done as a fighter.hopkins is willing to go to wales for the execution but its up to calzaghe to sign his life over to the reaper

              Are you guys really surprised?

For years he wanted to be known as a businessman.

Now that his career is pretty much caput, he wants to keep fighting.

Stick to the announcers booth Roy, you're very good at that.

                Retirement

I'm sorry, though I'm a huge Roy fan I think it's time for him to retire. He did nothing in this fight but stand there and block, throwing an occasional punch, very few combos. Jones is fighting for the money and has been for some time. I believe he still possesses most of the skills he once dazzled us with he simply has no desire to use them. Roy's last few fights show this clearly. I would love to see Roy keep fighting but only if he's going to fight to win and not to survive. Pack it in Roy...it's over.

Jones isn't screwing up his legacy by going on too long. You can't really do that unless you do something like getting caught removing the padding from your gloves or drugging your opponent or something extreme.

Jones is just acting like most great fighters and going on too long. But it doesn't mess up his legacy. That is already secured.

It was a straight left, not a straight right that opened up the cut.
