you just mad that nobody was able to **** wit joe, now he is retired so you can't hate no more you need to find someone else to hate on
He said he was willing to fight him but not willing to go to Britain. Get it right.

Joe never came to America and never moved up to 175 where Roy was. Get it right.

you need to get it right roy was on espn, this was the fri or wed before the hopkins calzaghe fight and roy said that he did not see the point in going to whales when there were bigger money fights and fighters over here, this is probably the reason that joe felt the need to embarras roy

Glen Johnson beat his ass worse, but I agree, he got another bad beating.

But hey, unlike Glen, who was just testing it out to see if Roy was really gone, Joe knew going in how Roy was fighting and said it after the Johnson fight that there was no point of fighting Roy now.

              Which interview?

I saw an interview with Roy when he said that Joe's the Man now. I'm ready to get on a plane and go to Joe.

He mentioned before that there was no reason to fight Joe back then because he {Roy} was the Man and Joe would have to come to him...but now, Joe is the Man so Roy has to go to him.

How do you think this fight was made?

Roy called Joe to ask him if he wanted to get the fight made. Joe called him back and said yeah, let's get it done.

You need to stop watching Fox News and Al Jazeera

what r you talkin about? the point is that joe wanted to fight jones and jones chose not to, fast forward a couple of years now joe is the man of course roy wants to fight him and joe remembers that roy denied him a fight and thats why he embarrased roy
you make it seem like if joe was scared to fight roy earlier in their career which is not true because jones himself on espn confirmed that joe did want to fight him a couple of years back .all you keep sayin is that joe was scared of roy and the only reason joe fought roy is because he is not the same man he was 8 years ago.
after watching roy jones lose every round to calzaghe what makes you think that he would just wash joe up if it was 8 years ago

Plus, he didn't have that "Oh My God, I'm fighting a Legend, My hero, the Man I was so scared of for a long time, and Now that his Powers are gone, I can kick his ass....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Yes" look in his eyes and in his body manner.

It's like the Superman movie when Lex Luther was kicking around Superman when he had the Kryptonite in him. Calzaghe was Lex Luther.
                  Hell yes, very well put.

Prime Jones would have been the one clowning on Calzaghe, who would have appeared slow in comparison to Roy. calzaghe wanted no part of Jones until he had already lost and was nowhere close to the amazing star he once was. Simple as that. Good post, thanks.

Because, Roy is not half of the fighter he was 8 years ago and still dropped and hurt Joe. In his prime Calzaghe knew not to mess with him and would have been whipped pretty good.

You are fooled like Calzaghe wanted you to be, into thinking this is what would have happened in their primes. Sorry, but it's not and Calzaghe knew that. This is why he came and fought the best in his era after they were older and had already fought the best.

roy jones is my favorite fighter of all time. i love the guy.

that being said. joe calzaghe kicked the living **** out of him, and may have even carried him during the last 3 rounds.... it was a sad, sad night for me.
