He beat Roy thoroughly, but he never "beat the **** out of him" or "destroyed" him, like some less educated posters have wrote. The cut made it look that way though.

Calzaghe controlled the fight and won convincingly but I would be embarrassed if I were Calzaghe. If I were to beat up my Grandfather in front of my friends, they would ridicule me and probably pistol whip me afterwards.
Plus, Roy was embarrased twice before: Tarver and especially Glen Johnson. Tarver popped Roy's cherry, Glen got him from behind, and Calzaghe, well, he got the sloppy left-overs...eh.

how was he ebmabrassed by tarver when he beat him the 1st time and even seem to be winning the 2nd fight but then he got knocked out the glenn johnson fight had a bunch of rounds that could of went either way
