i dont think that calzaghe should retire without settling the score with hopkins. that 1st fight was too close to call, even some of his fans felt he lost.he couldnt do half of what he did to jones to bhop.if they fight again it will be a much bigger PPV event, hopkins is 43 years old and is coming off his best performance ever. nobody has beaten bhop without controversy involved,if joe beats hopkins in a decisive way, that will most definetly shut up any nonbeleivers, and then he could retire in peace.hopkins is going to remain active weather he fights calzaghe or not,i just want that rematch to happen, because no matter if you hate hopkins, ive watched their first match over 5 times and i have yet to see calzaghe winning

I agree that there really is no reason to fight anyone else but calzaghe has to live with the fact that he beat an over the hill 43 yr old hopkins and a completely shot 40 yr old jones. Calzaghe did not beat the best roy jones or bernard hopkins and there is no point in arguing this. Where was joe five years ago? These wins are as meaningful as hatton's win over a completely shot castillo, they mean nothing.

Lennox was willing to fight them all in their prime; I cannot say the same for Joe.
Maybe Lennox wouldn't have cleared them all out prime vs. prime, but you have to give it to him, he was Willing and did his best in trying to lure them into the ring.

You have only ruled the Super middleweight, try winning belts in 4 different weight classes like Jones or have continue fighting until 43 like Hopkins!! The Truth is that you are looking for a quick exit and not willing to fight younger fighters like Dawson. You will be respected in UK but not here

I like Lennox but even though he beat everyone around, even though he could be competitive with anyone from history, he didn't ever fight a prime legendary fighter. Tyson was well past it, as was Holyfield. He did beat the legendary prime Frank Bruno though.

Lennox Lewis is great, Muhammad Ali is great, Sugar Ray Leonard is great, Joe Louis is great Calzaghe is not. He has not fought one single legend in their prime. Name one LEGEND in their prime who Calzaghe has beat? You cant WHY? because he avoided them.

Calzaghe is an old man who is fighting the other senior citizens. He took on young undefeated champions before. Chad Dawson offers nothing tangibly different to either to ensure Joe a big enough pay day. Jeff Lacy was hyped as hell. Kessler was a double world champion. They both had zero's.
Dawson has one truly impressive display against Tarver. A solid, unspectacular opponent who is long in the tooth himself.for a while.
