Chad Dawson was a bit of the bolt from the blue.
Calzaghe is an old man who is fighting the other senior citizens. He took on young undefeated champions before. Chad Dawson offers nothing tangibly different to either to ensure Joe a big enough pay day. Jeff Lacy was hyped as hell. Kessler was a double world champion. They both had zero's.
Dawson has one truly impressive display against Tarver. A solid, unspectacular opponent who is long in the tooth himself.

Hatton has a point. There will always be that "next big thing" for Calzaghe to beat. But that definitely does not make me not want to see the fight as a fan. If Calzaghe could beat Dawson, as Kellerman said "there is only one true contender and there is nobody else @ LHW".
Dawson is the only one left for Joe to beat there. I think he would beat Dawson, but it would definitely not be as easy of a time he had with Jones and his 39 year old legs and reflexes.

I agree with Hatton. Calzaghe should retire, but not because he has nothing left to prove, IMO Hopkins and Jones are still greater all time. I just can't stand Calzaghe. Dawson should fight the Taylor/Lacy winner and Roy and BHop should fight to end their careers. To Joe, hopefully you retire so I don't have to hear your annoying and arrogant comments anymore and so I don't have to watch you fight.
