      Shannon Briggs? Really?

Tua does not equal Lacy. Lacy was an undefeated ko artist with a title who was touted for greatness. Tua has never even come close to winning a belt.

Im a huge Lennox fan but you cant complain about guys like Kessler and then use Shannon Briggs to counter it.

A lot of world class fighters seem to struggle and lose to an amatuerish style then

What if he was able to defeat himself?

          Couldn't resist.

Lewis is a ****ing beast, for the record. Best heavyweight from 1990 on IMO (and that's not a swipe at him, that is where I have made my starting point for boxing... I was new a year and a half ago, and had to concentrate my efforts somewhere... 1990 seemed like a logical starting point).

That's the coolest part about Calzaghe.

His technique is the complete opposite of what a boxing textbook says is right (although some parts of the night against Jones, he was throwing really good looking punches), and he is able to get away with it.

According to the textbooks, what he does should leave him WIDE OPEN to get countered constantly, but... it just doesn't happen. It's pretty impressive to watch IMO.

I'll say that Calzaghe > Hopkins... when Hopkins did his deep freeze tactics to win, IE Taylor, Eastman, Calzaghe, etc.

But Hopkins can be pretty exciting too... He didn't look too boring against Pavlik or Tarver... and my god, in Hopkins's early career... he was like a hybrid of a rapist and a killer. Brutal and had the hunger to murder.

I did like Hopkins pre-Trinidad. Even though Trinidad was a masterclass and so was Pavlik.

But give me the Hopkins that fought Glen Johnson over that guy anyday.
