Kessler all of a sudden calling out Hopkins

All of a sudden Bernard's name is up in Mikkel's mouth, when everybody who keeps up on boxing already knows that Bernard has stated in his most recent interview on this website (in the video section) that if he cannot land the winner or Calzaghe/Jones, he's retiring. He said he wouldn't have the spark to fight anybody other than Joe at this point.

And now all of a sudden Mikkel Kessler wants Hopkins? He hasn't mentioned Hopkins name as a possible opponet in his entire professional career until now, and nobody finds this ironic at all?

Kessler....The same guy who's biggest fight is a lopsided loss to Joe Calzaghe? The same guy who's biggest win is Librado "hit me, I'm open!" Andrade?

I'm sorry Joe/Mikkel fans but you've got to call a spade a spade here. Even I acknowledge that Dawson's lame attempts to bait Calzaghe into a fight are unfounded. Surely you can acknowledge that Kessler has no merit whatsoever to even be mentioned alongside Hopkins, let alone fight the man.

And even if Bernard fights him, let's say he wins. What credit does he get? What has Mikkel accomplished since being outclassed by Joe last November? What has he done prior to losing to Joe that of particular intrest?

People will just say Joe ruined Mikkel, and Bernard was feasting on his leftovers.

And if he loses, jesus christ, I guess you can take Hopkins off the ATG list forever. But we all know that wouldn't happen.

This **** is pathetic. I can't believe people actually want to see Bernard fight Mikkel and Joe fight Chad. When Mikkel and Chad are clearly not even worthy of mention alongside Joe or Bernard.

Hopkins isn't exactly at the early stage of his career where he can piss away what energy he has left on the likes of Mikkel Kessler. If 'Nard has one last fight in him, why use it to embarass Kessler? A guy who's already a walking embarassment at almost 30 year of age, with a 41-1 record with only 1 stand out win against Andrade?

I haven't seen a thread yet saying Kessler-Dawson should happen. I would want that to happen, Calzaghe and B-Hop should both just leave out on top.

Kessler wants a big payday. You can't blame him for trying! He can't be making much money in Copenhagen and arse end of Germany!

Kessler was afraid to fight Miranda for Christ's sake. He must be delusional in thinking he'd want to fight Hopkins. Hopkins damn near beat Joe, the guy who outclassed and embarassed him last November.

He's just looking for a big payday, and a noteable fight. Same as Dawson with Joe. I can't respect **** like that.

Kessler didn't call him out. Kessler was asked if he had the chance to fight Hopkins that he would.

Dawson/Kessler is much more attractive from where I stand.
