Joe Calzaghe would given anybody trouble prime for prime. A young Joe's stamina is a nightmare for anyone. A prime Jones would have probably beat Calzaghe in a split decision.

No. A fight might have been a lot closer, but there's no reason Calzaghe couldn't have won it. Doesn't mean a prime Jones wouldn't have been favourite, though. It's irrelevant anyway, in the absence of a time machine, we'll never know. Those who say folks who think Calzaghe would have had a decent chance "don't know ****" are generally the same people who told us Lacy would "expose" JC, Kessler would "embarrass" him, Hopkins "school" him and so forth, and hence their opinions can be safely ignored as it is they who "don't know ****".

This fight was essentially agreed by Calzaghe and Jones themselves by cellphone, with a 50/50 purse split from the start. They both wanted to get it on to find out who was best, a 2008 Calzaghe or a 2008 Jones. It was Calzaghe.. end of story.

Prime Jones would've hit him with so many right uppercuts and straights, Calzaghe woud freeze up. Look at the first and second rounds. After that Roy was done he doesn't have any stamina

Lennox Lewis? Ray Robinson? Roberto Duran? George Foreman? Joe Louis? Henry Armstrong?

Want someone current? How about Vic Darchynian, Manny Pacquiao, Israel Vasquez, Glen Johnson, Wladimir Klitschko?
