Calzaghe is a far greater fighter in terms of historical all time greatness than Lewis.

Lewis was put on his backside by 2 very average fighters and never got back up. To his credit he did avenge those defeats on other nights. But Calzaghe goes down and still wins the fight and is still unbeaten.

Lewis was good but got KO'd by two bums. The Welshman Calzaghe is simply a better all round boxer, p4p than Lewis.

lennox is still greater. lennox was for sure the top guy at HW. calzaghe still has dawson and bhop to deal with.

got to disagree and go with joe. lewis's 2 biggest wins were also past there prime in holyfield and tyson and he's been starched twice unlike joe. lewis was obviously the better puncher but overall joe c was the better fighter as much as it pains me to say. he could come back from knockdowns whereas lewis couldnt

            Joe Calzaghe.

He's been down, but always got back on his feet and won the fight!

Lennox Lewis is the best and it is not even close.

                2. LENNOX LEWIS.
                3. Calzaghe.

Lewis and it's not close. He came to America and challenged everyone. He was vocal and people ducked him clearly (bowe). Lewis fought everyone. Avenged his losses. He beat a future prime champ when past his prime. He feared no man and went out of his way to sign the big fights. He always rematched and never talked about retiring until he realized his in ring performance warranted.

His opposition overall was far greater than the Super Middleweight bum of the month club that Calzaghe beat up on. Also if you factor in his names:

Tyson (past prime), Mercer, Golota etc. etc. all stack up way higher than the Sakio Bikas of the world.

Calzaghe just sat around and later claimed people ducked him when no one had heard of him.

P4P i'd give it to Calzaghe.
In general greatness it's gotta be Lewis.

Lewis, there's no doubt about it, Calzaghe isn't even close, and no I'm not a Calzaghe hater, he is a good boxer but he is not the best of all time like some guys on this forum are saying...
